welp, I'm on 3bra6 instead of 3bra8 no brick.
If you're trying to get TMB/TMB/TMB. That's not gonna happen no matter what you do. The last one is going to stay ATT no matter what. The last one indicates the original carrier of the device, which is from AT&T. You can't change that. As long as the first two say TMB/TMB, you're fine. You would still be able to get OTA updates from T-Mobile servers, like you normally would, if your were with ATT. Depending on what build number T-Mobile decides to go with.

If you Odin from 3BRA8 To 3BRA6 That ain't gonna brick your phone at all .

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note8 using XDA Labs
Well, a guy can try :p

I'll wait for another ATT update and try again later. Is it all but confirmed that if reflash this to 3BRA8 then erase reboot the device (this time without tmo sim installed) I should get ATT junk back on?

Two questions... I am using AT&T with an factory unlocked Note 8... will it be stuck on AT&T firmware or can i go back to unlocked no bloat firmware on bootloader 3 (not a huge deal, just curious)? I do need AT&T WiFi calling to work.
Right now my device says ATT/ATT/XAA
I am still on 2CQL1 Oreo Beta... going to roll back to the new official 3BRA8.

Also curious I noticed the 2CQL1 (and assuming newer) builds of Oreo have the newer emoji icons for text messaging that look similar to the Apple iPhone ones. Does this new 3BRA8 have them also or is that an Oreo only thing from Samsung?

For your first question, yes, you will be stuck on 3BRA8 because of the new bootloader version 3. 2CQL1 has bootloader version 2. For your second question, the updated emojis to my knowledge are only on oreo and not on nougat.

Thought it was just me.

BTW that Oreo update, safe to install?
I installed it on my ATT Note 8, on my end seems to be working without any issues. ATT/ATT/ATT, however I did notice, if you're using a sim card that isn't AT&T, you will be prompt to restart and it will switch carrier firmware. So, I had to disable auto preconfig with the bk package disabler app before inserting a non AT&T sim card.
