So I went to get this pit file that is located in the OP retail firmware I thought. Come to find out when extracting the csc md5.zip it asks me for a password. Lol wired huh. Long story short maybe flashing pit and cp,ap,CSC could fix my problem but its block.

No I'm taking about the retail firmware that is posted in op . I change the csc tar.md5 to csc.md5.zip to extract the pit that is in the csc.md5 but when unzipping it by rar it ask for a password. Or is the zip in OP forastest1234. Base

it doesnt lol. i never had it do any wipes. it will restart and go to a blue screen but this isnt a wipe screen, its a picture of a sim card and changes the csc code.. even if u start up with vzw sim in it will prompt to restart to change back to vzw csc (again no wipe.)

its the same for my g975u.

Now if u change csc then while rebooting and u hold the buttons to go into recovery then ive seen it go to an erase screen and wipe instead of just changing the csc.. iuno y but long as u dont try to enter recovery while its doing its thing ur fine.
Lol? Really??
Don't say it doesn't, because it absolutely DID. I simply changed the CSC, and upon confirming, I received a message that the phone needed to reboot. Upon rebooting, it immediately went to a blue screen with a little Android and a message saying "erasing..."

...and no, I did NOT manually enter recovery. I did EXACTLY as stated above.

Sorry to here that. But did you pick gcf and not vzw. I beleave it ask me twice did I want gcf or vzw. I pick gcf for both. Yes this did reset my device. I was shocked to when this happen but think god for a back up. I still playing around with this but it has a few changing form vzw. Like I can edited apn setting , samsung cloud, I did lose wifi calling as of now maybe I can add it back. I will send some screen shots.

Screen shot of some small change from changing csc. Fyi you will lose data so back up your device before changing csc.
Yeah, if I had ANY idea changing CSC would delete the device, I most certainly would have done a back up. I never expected that...

However, I did get Samsung Cloud, but the irony is that I had to lose some incredibly valuable personal data in order to be afforded the option to back up that data...

Side note:
I absolutely changed from VZW to GCF. However, upon doing that, there was an additional option asking if I just wanted to "change GCF," or "GCF and Global Sales" or something to that effect.... I chose the latter.

Personally I would not change global sales. I had to go get a new phone by Verizon should be here Tuesday becasue of drop calls and services. I wanted gcf/vzw/vzw but i got gcf/gcf/vzw when changing the sale code. You should be able to get samung cloud with gcf/vzw/vzw. Can some one verify this

Is your csc gcf, vzw, vzw or gcf, gcf, vzw? You can check in software information
And then look under service provder sw

You can't change a file to a zip just by renaming it - you actually have to use a zip tool and compress it. To get the pit file, you have to extract the CSC file using a zip tool like 7zip etc

For the samsung cloud on verizon samsung phones is pretty simple.
1. Open play store and download "QuickShortcutMaker"
2. Open it and tap in search bar "samsung cloud"
3.Click on the second samsung cloud under the top one samsung cloud title
4.You will see a "Try" arrow, tap on it and it will open the samsung cloud settings
5.You will be prompt to Create/or add a shorcut.
From there, you will be able to Restore, backup and access all your samsung cloud Data.
:good::good::cool:

The app store does NOT even offer Samsung Cloud for Verizon devices. Furthermore, even after downloading Samsung Cloud from alternate sources, for whatever reason, Verizon has somehow managed to block the installation of it...

If you have a workaround, I'm all ears...
