I'm thinking about going naked. To talk myself into it I got the protection plan and will save $100 for the first major drop. I'm just not sure if I can handle a phone that has been dropped still works with dent and scratches. I guess that's the long standing debate though.
Have fun, it is Assurant providing the protection services which you can see how fun it is dealing with them on any google or BBB search. They are horrible, just like anything relating to any insurance. Maybe they will have their act together for these phones since google is probably an important account, but it hasn't matter to them before. They will work you over any chance they get.

Thank you for the heads up. It's starting to sound like a case won't be that bad.

Thanks for that.i have that case for my n6p. I bought the ultra hybrid for the pixel for starters...so it can still be seen underneath... although the buttons are easier pressed on the rugged armour your wife has there..

I had the same for 6p as well. After got the wife's rugged I ordered me one as well. Hard to beat their cases. Stylish and not over priced.

OtterBox traded me for my defender series that I bought for my note 7. It fits perfectly on my XL and the built in screen protector is perfect! Nothing loose. This phone is entirely too expensive not to protect.

I'd love to go naked, but I have concerns about the finish on the Quite Black rubbing/scratching off easily as one video review mentioned in his daily use. Could have been a fluke, but since I don't have the plain aluminum on the silver, I'm not going to find out until some other brave souls try their Quite Blacks naked for awhile.

Got the Spigen coming as well, should be here tomorrow! This thing is way to slippery, you have to live a boring life with no adventure if you can actually go without a case, I mean I'm afraid to just set it down and scratch the back on a table. I'm currently using a Crown baggie to keep her safe in rough areas.

I think this phone feels amazing with no case but unfortunately I don't want to scratch it up so I'll probably start looking for a glass protector along with a fairly slim case.

No case for me at the moment. I haven't used a case on my last 3 or 4 phones. I like the feel of the phone, but like others have stated.... Since it did cost so much I'd hate for it to get dinged up. I haven't seen all of the cases available, but of the ones I have seen none have really jumped out at me as one I may like. I'll keep looking.

If you are the kind of person who drops their phones, you need a case to protect your investment.

I on the other hand will NEVER drop my phone. I can say this with 100% certainty because I take a conscious effort when taking my phone out every time and while I'm holding it. I've gone through 9 phones now, and never dropped it. I've only had 1 screen crack, and it was a 3 1/2 year old phone and it cracked while touching the display, not from dropping. A screen protector or case would not have solved that. I see no reason to ever go with a case or screen protector if you are one of these guys who is not careless and realizes you are handling a $800 phone. I do get that there are some people incapable of keeping a conscious mind while handling such things, and yes, you should have a case.

You should have a screen protector if you are one of these people who puts their phones in with their keys in the same pocket. I always put my phone in my right pocket and keys/ wallet in my left pocket. Never wavering and this isn't an issue. The screen is strong enough to never scratch if you follow this practice.

I mean you people are spending tons of money and should make more of a conscious decision when handling your phones.

As for me and my Pixel XL, we're going naked!
