Nand Write Start stuck!!

I'm hoping to get some assistance here. I have a Samsung Galaxy s2 i777 that I've had for years. I can't get it to get passed the initial Samsung logo. I can't get into recovery to wipe the data from it but I can get into download mode. I've tried using odin but I get stuck at Hand Write Start then after a few minutes it pops up fail. I have no idea what to do. I really just want to get the phone operational again so I can give it to my little brother. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Thank you

Might be a quick easy fix. You say you can't get into recovery; are you sure? On the i777 it's both power buttons+power until you see the Samsung logo, then release all.

If you already know/tried that, another possible solution that has worked for others over the years has been to try a different USB port when using Odin - some have had success with the ones in the back of the computer.

Nand Write Start Stuck!!

I've tried to push it into recovery. I can get to the Samsung logo but no further. I'm using a laptop. I've tried 2 different ports to no avail. Still the same problem. I've also used 3 different versions of ODIN. I have no idea what else it could be.

If nothing helps in there, I'm not sure what else you can try. It definitely isn't bricked to the point of unusability, so there is something that has to work. That is the absolute best thread for this device.
