I am considering getting my N6 replaced due to the half screen issue. I am curious if a nandroid backup on my current N6 can be restored to the replacement N6?

So out of Boot, System, Data, Cache, Recovery, and EFS that are available in TWRP backup options, I should be able to backup the first three (Boot, System, Data) and restore them to the replacement and be fine?

Do I need to update TWRP at the same time to ensure the versions match between old and new phones? (Between backup and restore?

Curious, as the MAC address can be set via ifconfig, will a nandroid restore of the system partition give the new phone the old phone's MAC?

Not that hard to record the MAC before and set it back after just wondering if I need to take those steps.

My understanding is, that MAC info is stored in the EFS partition.

Cold Lake
It almost has to be. Let your N6 get cold and it will almost certainly do the split screen (if it has the problem). Going to have to send mine back as well, just putting it off as long as I can.

I'm in -20c temps, its plenty cold and doesn't do it currently. the second I go back to stock, or a different ROM it does it. I am running omnirom and slimkernel and cannot reproduce the issue.

So I got this phone brand new as a replacement after dropping mine (got insurance) , and I rooted and flashed a custom ROM and it immediately started doing it, my last one it never happened and had it for about a month. So looked around and it appeared to be a RMA issue so I called got a replacement that was supposed to be here today but bad weather delayed it till tomorrow. Anyway I flashed it back to stock re locked the bootloader ect, and it has worked flawlessly all day so I thought maybe it was software but then BAM !!!!! It just happened totally stock with almost no apps running so I'm glad I RMA this ***** cause I was starting to rethink it, let's just hope the new one doesn't do it too I will keep you posted, also this is a blue 32 gig eMMC Samsung 32 gig dram hotel I live in California is not that cold here
