Call recording for EMUI 10.1:
Background: A 4PDA user with the nickname "Ёрш" bought a programmer and changed the C10 region to India. There it turned out that this region has a built-in call recording. He pulled the apk file and asked other users to try it.
It is known for sure that it works on Mate 30, P40 and P30. If a different version of the conversation recording was previously installed, then it must be removed. Only then install this version

It works, OMG! How can i contact this person and give my thanks!? For you who thinks audio quality is different, for me its about the same(P30 Pro in Sweden). But this "new" recorder saves files in m4a-format and not amr-format like the "old" one. Maybe that has something to do with it?

BTW, I uninstall the sound recorder (which preinstalled on my P30 pro). Anyone know how to get it back? didn't found it in the backup and play store.

I had the old one (not working on 10.1) installed .
I did these steps like instructed:

1. Downloaded the apk from the post on page 11
2. Went into settings/apps and uninstalled "Recorder" (green android-guy logo).
3. Restarted phone
4. Installed the downloaded apk.
5. Restarted phone before making any calls.

It works exactly like before.
My calls are saved in same folder as before.

Anyone else getting a Media card error /storage/emulated/0 ? everything else works recorder works it has storage permissions it just doesnt record errors out.

with 10.1.0.151

I deleted the old 9.0 call recorder, updated and then installed the new one, works perfectly, thank you!

Hi, guys.
It`s appeared on the internet an apk that is native call recorder for EMUI 10.1. I`ve had tested it on my P30 Pro (VOG L-29) with EMUI 10.1.0.150 and it`s working like charm.
I am a junior member and I`m not allowed to post links. I find that apk on two sites: huaweicentral and huaweiailesi. Please google it.

Works here too, only difference for me is between your 3 and 4 I Updated my phone to version 10.1.0.126 (C636E9R2P4) (which is the latest for New Zealand) restarted phone again then did 4 and 5...

The call recording feature is definitely working on ÍEMUI 10.1. You might have received the error message 'App not installed' because an earlier version of the call recording app is still on your device. The P30 Pro was released with a native call recording app pre-installed. If you upgraded your device to EMUI 10 and then to 10.1 and haven't performed a factory reset since then, the old app is still on your device. As it was written above and in a similar thread post (https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...&postcount=105), the call recording feature was preserved on Indian region devices even on EMUI 10.1. In other regions, the feature became disabled after the EMUI 10 update. The official Huawei communication is that the call recording feature was disabled after the EMUI 10 update due to data protection laws and regulations. However, the India region apk can be installed on EMUI 10.1. and it is working perfectly.

So, if you haven't performed a factory reset since the EMUI 10 and 10.1 upgrades, you should uninstall the old call recording app.
1. Go to Settings>Apps>Apps.
2. Then in the top-right corner tap the three-dot menu and tap on 'Show system processes'.
3. Scroll down to an app called 'Recorder'. There might be two apps with this name. One is the Sound recorder app and the one with the android bug icon is the old call recorder.
4. Uninstall the Recorder app with the green android bug icon.
5. Install the downloaded apk.
6. Finally, reboot your device. The call recorder should work now. You might have to grant permissions (for me all permissions were granted upon installation). The recorded files will be in Sounds/CallRecord.

Hallo habe ein p30pro Android 9 und habe jetzt erstmal ein Update auf Android 10.1 gemacht, hat auch prima geklappt. Recorder läuft. Meine Frage ist ob es auf dem "p30pro new edition" funktioniert. Danke erstmal im Voraus

I am sorry I am writing in English, my German still needs to be improved. The new version should work on the P30 Pro New Edition too. If you performed a factory reset after updating to EMUI 10.1, you just need to install the apk linked above. If there has been no factory reset yet, you need to uninstall the old Recorder app (the one with the droid icon in Settings>Apps>Apps, tap on 'Show system processes' in the top-right xorner three-dot menu) and install the new version.
