I have a rooted Sprint Samsung Galaxy S3 (Freedom Pop) which has KitKat 4.4.
From time to time I have to take a picture that has a time/date stamp on the image itself. Generally I use an actual camera for this, however, doing this with the phone would be convenient from time to time.
Thet stock camera app does not have a way to include a time/date stamp. I thought I would just install a third party app that had that feature and all would be good. I tried Opencamera and I got a message everytime I tried to take a picture that it ould not save the file. I found that with KitKat 4.4 third party camera apps could no longer save to the external SD card.
I would prefer to save to my external SD card, but, since there wouldn't be many of these types of pictures I'd just set it to save to the internal memory. It looks like Opencamera is broken because I can't find the internal memory location or set the path to it.
Rather than try another third party camera app I was wondering if any the native camera app for Kitkat 4.4 from another manufacturer might include a date/time stamp and I could just use it instead of the one that came with the phone.
Would another native kitkat 4.4 camera app work with my phone?
Are there any workarounds for kitkat 4.4 that work with a Galaxy S3? I tried a couple apps (SDfix and another one) that didn't work for me.
