Is that possible to use nativesd on windows mobile on nand?
I follow the step to create the ext4 & fat32 partition on my sd card,
then copy the 4ext recovery (recovery_4EXT2.2.7_leo_sd.zip) & PA_leo_beta_v2.13b_div2a.zip to the root of sd card on fat32 partition,
after that I boot into winmo and use clcad/haret on recovery folder to boot
I can access the 4ext recovery, but I get this error say that E:failed to find "cache" partition to mount at "\cache"
How to slove this issue?
Please help me, thanks in advance.

Thanks mengfei, but I already search xda and the WWW, I did review the thread you mentioned, but It looks complicated, and I think it is because its related to nand (is it?).
Since we use SD, I think there should be an easier procedure. I wonder if anybody except securecrt, tried that in it's NativeSD configuration.

Because Class 2 and 4 have better random access speed than an Class 6 or Class 10! Class 2 or 4 was the better choice for an OS, Class 6 or 10 was the better choice for big datas like movies or pictures, because they have a cache! This cache (Class 6/10) must always rebuild and this make it very slow for random access.

Also sorry for my bad english.:p
thanks for your input on this meingott,
I'll try those class2/ 4 types but i guess we can't get those in 16g/32g right?

Hello mengfei and meingott,

I'd like to jump in on that topic with a link to this microSDHC ranking by a reputable german computer journal. It's being updated constantly. Althoug in German language, I'm pretty sure everyone can understand the terms, if unsure just use a dictionary.

http://www.chip.de/bestenlisten/Bestenliste-microSDHC-Karten--index/detail/id/867/

As you can see, class 2/4 cards do not necessarily have better random access speeds than class 6/10 cards.

Best regards

@Getrid

thanks for your input in this, I will try to get my hands on a class 4 & try to bench it with class 10 running on Native SD.

Aside from antutu can you recommend any other SD benchmarking app?
tnx

I used CrystalDiskMark a lot. Found it when I was searching about SD benchmarking in one of the threads here on XDA, but that was quite some time ago. The users benchmarked their own SD cards to compare them. But I don't know if it is capable of benchmarking ext4 partitions. My own card is No. 5 on the list and I can confirm the results after a couple of tests with 5 runs. But I don't know if this tool is what you are looking for. Anyway, here's the link to their homepage:

Hello everyone

I have this wonderfull phone for a year now, and always used wm6.5, because i have a software i must use in this OS, its Esri ArcPad for professional use. I must continue to have acess to WM6.5. But i find it boring and very closed system. So i am trying to do an Android ICS install in native SD method. so these are my questions:

Can i have them both working with this method, even if wm6.5 is only to use 10% of the time?

What is the most stable room you can advise me, i would prefer a Sense HTC one! Until now i have done the partitions in sd card one ext4 and one fat32. now i am having trouble with this part
"I assume you already have Magldr/ CWM in your HD2 & know your way around the Magldr Menu."
This is not true for me...

I have run several topics, but there are many terms i dont know, i am a noob in this, i know my way around very well in windows systems and even DOS systems, but smartphones OS, total noob, i am trying to do this step by step, but i am afraid of bricking the phone that is still under warranty...

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance and Best regards

Bruno

Hi everyone ,

I am not sure where to start but i can't get NativeSD to work properly. I tried almost every build with NativeSD but its waaay to unstable. The speed is great but it keeps randomly crashing/stuck and from what i also experience is that it doesnt go to sleep mode.

I am using a new card from sandisk: http://www.ebay.nl/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221014838532

I don't know what to do anymore. could anyone tell me if the random speed/write is the issue?

As you can see on my alias, I am a german.:p Look into the german wikipedia (I studied that, only for you  ):

Class 6/10

Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroSD (There is no english version of this topic)

I think that "Chip" is not the best source for this information! Did you know the used test environment? I can not found any information about random access in this overview! I think that nobody on "Chip" put an OS on an sd card!!!

tnx, wull try find those Class4 16/32g type in my area :fingers-crossed:
I think in Shenzen electronics grows on trees! :D
