Hi just a question how do you hide both as I can only hide the softkeys thanksNo burn in on either my S8+ or my Note 8.
I use the auto hide Nav Bar on both.
And I check regularly with the AMOLED Burn In Fixer app. Never even a hint of burn in.

Just the navbar. But the status bar is hidden when I'm using the Samsung Browser. And browsing the internet is what I do most.Hi just a question how do you hide both as I can only hide the softkeys thanks
I use Nova launcher to hide both and Nougat / Oreo Quick Settings is what I used on the stock launcher. It's called immersive mode for the apk.Hi just a question how do you hide both as I can only hide the softkeys thanks
That looks like a random Samsung AMOLED display panel out of the box.Status bar for me. But what I'm more annoyed is the "white burn in" whatever you want to call it. Attached is picture. My kids use YouTube on it and when horizontal. The break from the video and the menus below, you can you tell burn in as set in. It's hard on the picture. But it's there. Lol. The top is lighter than below the red lines.
Really? I swear it wasnt there before. Lol.That looks like a random Samsung AMOLED display panel out of the box.

Download display tester app from app store. Check it with a grey #8080 background test. Then swipe the screen right or left to increase decrease brightness to check.

Did you adjust the gray #8080 ? Take another pic perhaps. Cheersyea i did that. same thing. i never noticed i guess.
I think I see it now. It's that line going down the width of the screen?pic attached.. you can see two shades of grey.
Probably will. Meaning the white icons against the black would "wear" out faster which in turn make it more noticeable.I am using dark Oreo substratum theme, does all black cause burn in? Meaning the white icons? See image below, will my theme/ icons cause burn in more than normal as it's all white and not coloured icons etc?

I run a black solid background, but I rarely stay too long on the homescreen.
I don't think you have much to worry about. The status bar on mine switched color depending on what app I'm in. I believe this was a feature that was added to prevent the clock/battery etc burning in. My Note 4 status bar had burn in ever so slightly after one year of usage, I used a black solid background in that device also.
My navigation is auto hide but not status bar. What are you using to hide your status bar?Lol super paranoid now, put my status bar on auto hide and disabled AOD

I heard there is one app by someone called Zachary , it can hide the status bar without root using ADB command. But I haven't yet looked into it. I think it's called status ui tuner. My bad I meant nav bar not status bar [emoji23] I'm sure there's some none root hide status bar apps on the play store, used one before but they seem to be super buggy
