BTW, I have managed to run both EU and NA regions at the same time by changing using two separate XAP files with different app GUIDs (1.4 with 1.7.0 maps)

Navigon 3 working without Telekom Sim Card

Hi, I'm from france and I have a SFR France sim card.

I've succeeded in launching Navigon 3 without operator check. It's the version downloaded on the post #623 of this thread.
First, I launched the app with phone connected by USB, but it said me I have not a Telekom sim card.
But when I disconnected USB and activated my wifi connection, after launching Navigon 3 it downloaded the extra data by wifi (nearly 500 mb).

After this everything is working ! Without operator check (but only DACH maps).
I don't know if my post can help you.

Before this I've installed Navigon 1.4, and without deleting it I installed the Navigon 3 xap. It erased all data (maps too).

Another thing, it's impossible to load other maps.
I changed "filelistBA.xml" and "feature_list.xml" files by adding references to France map (after copying France.map file in the map folder), but when i do this, navigon tells me a message saying that navigon was free of charge for 2 years and this period has expired, and I can reactivate my licence by buying at least one of the offered upgrade packages in the Navigon select shop. I have access to the shop menu, where I can buy a "Europe 20 maps package" for 19,95 € (or other packages), but I havn't tried it.

When you modify the feature_list.xml the expiration check will fail (i think it has to to with bought packages, when you buy a package the program wont expire anymore).

You can enter the shop as that's the only way to get the program working again the official way. All other menu's are deactivated.

You cant buy any package when you dont have a Telekom mobile plan as the buying process is linked to the Telekom server. Bought packages are paid through your Telekom bill.

i am uploading now a version of this tool that should allow to load us maps directly, without replacing files after the first download.

i changed the countrycode in the ini file and .nfs files in "data" directory, that should be enough

I don't know what's the code for AUS and how to change the countrycode in the .ini and .nfs files

I got the USA maps working.

In order to do this, uninstall Navigon.

Get Map loader for navigon select. Read all posts as I had to change IP in my hosts file to my PC's local IP for the app to connect (Zune must be running & PC Internet Enabled, Disable WiFi & Cell Data on device.).

Follow steps listed in the app except what I noted above. Install Navigon, Select Maps, Click Proceed. Right Windows will say Web Server Running.

Open Navigon on device & perform download as app requests. It'll download files from the Map loader Web Server.

Close Navigon.

At this point all files & maps are loaded but some need replacement for the maps to work. Download ZIP & Extract. Now using WPDM's File manager, copy "filelist.xml" & "NaviKernelConf.ini" to "\Applications\Data\6F9CB464-BDAF-DF11-8A2F-00237DE2DB9E\Data\IsolatedStore\" overwriting the existing files.

Browse on PC to data folder for map loader (Example: "D:\Downloads\Keith's\HD7 Stuff\Map Installer\Data\o25\u\eu\wm_select\Data\"). Copy my files in zips Data folder to Map Loader's Data folder replacing existing.

Start Task Manager & close "wsNavigonGui.exe" under processes tab (I've noticed it may stay load & prevent the Web Server from loading in next step, If it is not running skip this step.).

Open Map Loader again, select one map & click proceed again (Make sure WiFi & Data are still off on device).

Open Navigon & it'll prompt to download again, let it do so, it should now download the files from my zip's data folder you just copied over.

Now USA maps should work.

i'm interesting in your screenshot. I have windows phone device manager v1.3.00 beta Unregister Version. If launch TouchXperience on WP7, i can capture the wp7 screen. But if TouchXperience exit, WPDM won't be able to capture.
So can u please let me know how you can do this anytime? Thanks very much

Did that - the program crashed again - uploaded exactly those maps with only English language... I gues I have to give up.

Almost got it working on the Samsung Focus...please help

Hey Guys I'm hoping someone can clear this up for me...

Samsung Focus users in the US were out of luck since we couldn't access the root directory... that all changed with the updated version of WP7 Root tools.

So I've followed the directions and gotten the maps I need to the right folder where Navigon select has downloaded other maps...

Here's my problem;

When I go into the app it only gives me options for country... the app already has Austria, Germany Liechtenstein and Switzerland downloaded and available.
These maps are great for when I take my yearly visit to Europe, but what about north America? All those maps have been set as 1 file per country. But the north American Navigon separates them by state. So now I have a few states in that folder but Navigon doesn't see them, it only sees the countries it already downloaded... Am I missing something? Can I get the app to see the new maps somehow? Should I rename the state maps to the country? Any direction would be greatly appreciated...

I actually bought navigon for my ipad cause I love the program that much. I traveled around europe with it last year and never got lost. I"m SOOOO CLOSE to having it on my Samsung Focus,, Please help...

Has anyone got UK postcodes to work? Mine doesn't work with full postcodes, just the first 3 - 4 characters. It's a real hindrance, as is the way it forgets where you were going if you change apps. I'm running 1.4 (but would like to upgrade if possible).

Yeah you might want to look at the 3.0 thread, there is now a fully patched 3.0 version with all premium features, live features and EU maps working.

For the UK that means proper postcodes, google local search, 3D navigation, live traffic info and rerouting, and a history of recent destinations (you can also set favourites). Problem solved!

Guys, I got version 1.4.0 and after much effort put in GPS maps of Brazil, but only works well in 2D version.

I saw this version it is able to be seen in 3D, however: Is this map that I have will be compatible with it?

Some Brazilian here that have tested it?

And the last question: If there is no compatibility. Does anyone here would get a map of Brazil for him?

only in v3.0.0 but dont know is available content for Brasil
