You can flash any rom out there for the gnote 3. Except if you somehow found an AOKP rom. Those can't do still. But you just back up your stock configuration. Wipe the stock slot, wipe system, data, dalvik cache and cache, and flash whatever rom you want from the ROM section.

I have successfully rooted and installed safestrap on my stock nc4 note 3 however when I try to install jellybeans build 6 into romslot 1 and boot to it, the phone never shows a boot screen after the safestrap screen. I get a blue led and nothing else.

Any ideas? Maybe 4.3 isn't compatible with the new modem?
Beans 6 is 4.3 based. If you are on 4.4.2, the kernel is different and since we are locked, we cannot flash kernels. You need a rom based off of 4.4.2, only nc2 can roll back to 4.3. Nc4 cannot roll back. It has nothing to do with the modem, but is 100 percent kernel related.

It did the busybox and twrp just fine - but still get the binary update message / close on SuperSU

After the data wipe / redownload of UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip .. same result.

it works, and prompts - just cannot enter the application. Guess its just wait until further version.

Thanks for the guide - worked perfectly (steps wise) - now to tip Geohot and go to bed.
Same issue here

I just rooted my Note 3 using Towelroot method and it didn't trip the Knox counter

1. Just install Towelroot.apk from http://towelroot.com/

2. Open Towerroot to root than reboot

3. install Root checker from the Play store to check root

4. install Supersu from http://download.chainfire.eu/447/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.99r4.zip - Unzip and install APK, open and let it uninstall Knox and Reboot.

For more details refer to - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2783157

Installing Safestrap:

After Rooting and Supersu is installed follow below steps to install safestrap:

1. Install Busybox app from Play store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox&hl=en

2. Install Safestrap from herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517610 and follow instructions in the thread
I wish I could thank you more than once! Awesome find!!!!

Would someone be able to provide me with the Calendar Storage apk? Like an idiot I deleted it when I wasn't paying attention while watching the World Cup and deleting bloat. I know this may not be the place to ask, but I haven't had luck through search or posting my own thread in the Q&A Help forums.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out.

Afaik, the only recovery option for the note 3 retail edition is safestrap. Also being on 4.4.2 means you cannot flash anything older than 4.4.2 currently due to a limitation in safestrap as per a few posts back in this thread.

I had to run the Verizon repair. The development guys are working on it, but I don't think we can flash any roms yet. What your saying seems to be the common theme across the board..

As myself and a few others have said in this very same thread, you must stick with a 4.4.2 rom. That means nothing earlier than kitkat. Any rom that is based on kitkat should work, and no other rom will. Rom slots are not working at this time.

To summarize:
The only recovery you can use is safestrap 3.72
Safestrap 3.72 will not let you utilize rom slots right now. only stock slot.
The only roms you will be able to use are 4.4.2 based roms. NO jellybean roms will work (4.3).
