I've decided to make my ClockWidget skins available to all HTC sense users thus making them available here in the Android Themes section since these are not ROM dependent
These only will work on Sense ROMs that have been deodexed.
Before installing anything be sure to backup your current ROM in case you don't like the clock or just want to switch back.
Now that the important stuff is taken care of, here's the clocks:
as far as i can tell, this is the biggest collection of clocks available on XDA for HTC Sense devices, not only are they not monochrome, they are of the highest quality and bring some color to your home screen. I was tired of having the same boring clock so i started making my own, especially after finding not that many clocks i actually liked.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

Tron clock collection here
Choose which update.zip you want to use by unzipping the downloaded file to a folder of your choice, select which color you want to use and voila, use that file to install via ClockModRecovery.

Thread currently under development, *currently being edited*
Please bear with me until its finished.

All of these clocks have been made with the Droid Incredible in mind but work on other devices as long as they have the HTC clock widget for Sense 1.5.

If your Rooted, you should have ClockMod Recovery installed
move the .zip's you want to install to your sd card's root before proceeding further!

there are 3 ways to get to Recovery: (this is the method for using .zip files to install themes that are set up as an update.zip)

  • 1. ROM Manager - "Reboot into Recovery"
  • 2. ADB command in SDK - "adb reboot recovery"
  • 3. holding down the volume down and power button on the phone, then it will load the H-Boot screen, once there use the volume down button to move to "Recovery" hit the power button to select the option, once there you should see a black screen with green text that shows recovery options you have.
  • After you make it to recovery, choose:
  • "Install Zip from SD-Card"

(you can either use the Optical Trackball to select the options or the volume keys (up and down)

to select the option, press the Optical Trackball's button once you highlight the correct option.

Then choose: "Choose zip from sdcard"

it will load all the contents of your SD Card on the screen
again, use the trackball or volume keys to select the file you want to install, once highlighted, hit the trackball button.

As a precaution, the devs that made ClockMod Recovery also implemented a security incase you selected the wrong option, so you will see only one option in the next screen that says "YES" and a ton of "NO"

once selected you should see it install, after its done installing, it will take you back to the main recovery menu, once there, choose "Reboot System Now"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Easiest method: ROM Manager

  • 1. Open ROM manager, choose "Install ROM from SD card"
  • 2. Choose the file you want to install (if it gives you an error, its because the file name has spaces in it, to fix this, rename the file so its either "filename_here" instead of "filename here" (**filename here is only an example, do not rename it to this**)
  • 3. Once ROM manager lets you select the file to install, it will load a popup, do NOT check any of these options unless you want to make a backup, do NOT choose WIPE DATA and CACHE, this will format the ROM causing all your saved passwords, settings, apps to be all erased.
  • 4. Click Ok, and the phone will reboot into recovery, auto install that file, then reboot automatically back to the OS.

Note: Some of my files (before i started to use ROM manager) weren't named with this app in mind as an installation method, so file names like "NCX StockSilver Blue" would have to be renamed to NCX_StockSilver_Blue, the simplest method is to replace spaces with _ or -

if this helps anyone, please be sure to give your thanks and don't forget, i gladly accept donations to keep my work moving forward, especially when the Thunderbolt comes out and is rooted.

Man, I am loving the tron blue style as well as many of the other styles. I use a stock HTC Evo. Can these only be used with a rooted Evo? I would love to be able to use these with mine without rooting. If that is so, is there anything out there like this for non rooted phones?

Than you.

To answer your question, the framework on the Droid Incredible and EVO 4G are not compatible with each other as far as mods goes.

But Its not entirely hard to port it over to be used on the EVO 4G, its a matter of when I have the time to do it.
