No.. I meant what I said. It didn't remove half the apps in the list. Have a bunch of Samsung apps still.
Again. Some people had to flash it twice. Look at the updater script, there's nothing to it. Not much that can go wrong with that and at less than 1MB there's not much that could go wrong with the download. What recovery are you using? I recommend Philz.

I am using philz. Flashed the debloater 4 separate times.. In the log it did say you need to update your binary but idk what that means or think it's related

Cheer's Team Wicked!!

This is a recovery flashable tool I made to remove all Knox Apps (sorry it WON'T remove Knox from the bootloader) and all the BloatWare that comes with stock. It also removes the Odex files if you are not on DeOdex. This will work on both ND8 and MK3, Odexed and DeOdexed. All in a package less than 1 MB.

I realize this thread has ND8 MK3 in the title. I've upgraded by Sprint S3 (SPH-L710) to NJ2. Any one know if this newbie should attempt to use this ND8/MK3 debloater on NJ2? I've looked but can't seem to find one for NJ2.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response. Yes, putting NJ2 in the title would be reassuring to noobs like me.
To follow up, I commented out swype.apk, which I wanted to keep, and then ran it. No problems.

One thing I noticed in the log was the note to update my binary (as mentioned in post #45 in this thread). Any one know what that means?

It's referring to the update binary. It's nothing you need to worry about.

hey, i know its been a long time but there is a file in samsung /apps file that you have to remove to stop google from replacing all the or a lot of the files you take out of app and pri-apps. could you remember that and could you also tell me what other directories i can clean out? ive done this many times but i cant remember that file. thank you

They do? I own Tapatalk and use it when I'm not in front of my PC, especially at work ;) but I thought that although it shows the thanks button I've seen it toast "Deny action" at the bottom when I'm over the limit. Maybe that was only when I've already thanked a post before refreshing?
what is tapatalk?

I know of no such file and have no idea what you are talking about... Google only installs apps on a clean flash and only if you tell it to in the Setup Wizard and those are only data apps, not system apps. If the apps have been updated in the Play Store as Samsung, as done with some of their apps, you need to uninstall updates on those apps them reflash the Debloater. Also make sure you are wiping dalvik cache as the system thinks the apps are still installed until it rebuilds the dalvik database.

Tapatalk is an app used to view multiple forum accounts in one app.
