NA which is apparently the same as the global one. Im not sure
Yep I believe it is.. Nice one.

Next steps are:

1. Download the update using oxygen updater (the full zip)
2. Grab the payload.bin from the full zip and extract the boot image using the payload dumper from fastboot enhance.
3.Take the update.
4. Factory reset.
5. Copy the boot image to your phone and patch it with Magisk. The output fine will be in downloads
6. Boot the image then open Magisk and click install then direct install.

Done

If you've got the full firmware zip then open it and copy out the payload.bin.

Open it with payload dumper and click the incremental button..

Scroll through the mounted payload file and locate the boot.img file and click extract.

Copy it to your phone when you've updated, then patch it.

Copy it back to your computer and you're ready to boot it using fastboot.

I already have the boot image extracted.

Now I have to:

1. Copy the boot image to the device.

2. Flash the payload.bin from fastboot enhance

Sorry, it wasn't very clear to me.

Another question: How do I patch the image?

??? No at number 2 I did not say that dude.

The boot image you patch with Magisk which will output a file to downloads, copy that to your fastboot folder.

From there you need to update your phone using the local update APK..

Then once updated, factory wipe then boot the patched image.

To patch a boot image.

1. Copy it to your phone.
2. Open Magisk and click install.
3. Click patch an image
4. Choose the boot.img and it'll output a file to /downloads you'll notice it as it'll be called a weird name with a .IMG file extension.

That is your patched image. Copy it to your computer in your fastboot folder.

I would definitely recommend using oxygen updater to grab your firmware files.

Once you get the app it'll find your model. Then just click settings and click advanced mode and choose full zip (stable)

This will ensure you get the latest updates.

On another note it looks like you have indeed changed region to EU, not a bad thing as we get the updates first usually..

Double check your model number under settings / about.

My guess is you're on NE2213

But check for me please

Everything seems to be working perfectly. I still need to test NFC payment though

So I think we got it fixed.

Thank you very much!!!
You're very welcome mate, happy to help.

With payments, if you're rooted. Just get turn on systemless, then zygisk, then install the universal safety net module.

I've attached it here.

After that just set up wallet and it'll work fine.

👍🏻

Ps: don't forget to reboot after installing each module.

Payment is working correctly. Some apps isn't opening ("root detected") even with zygisk active

Some won't work, that's just unfortunate..but for others. Click on force deny list then add apps to it..

Then force close apps then reboot.

Then test..

The force close may be enough, sometimes the reboot is needed.

PS: you can expand each app as per screenshot

The title of the thread is 2215 which is the NA version, the Global misnomer comes from one of their own posts though iirc.

@Diguinho76 The NA rollback full zip is your best bet right now.

As per the message, are you using the local install APK instead of the system local installer.

The latter won't work, instructions are on the OnePlus site
