You can download the blackrose hboot from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1509236&highlight=blackrose

First install a custom ROM with an insecure boot.img try ARHD or CM7 and then flash blackrose hboot by following instructions on that thread. Once you have blackrose you should be able to flash any of the new ROMs.

Some ROMs such as ARHD work on the older hboot as well so if you don't wan't to change your hboot then you can just flash that ROM. I personally prefer blackrose hboot but, everyone is different so flash at your own risk :)

You don't need blackrose if you're installing the latest miui (no mauwie wowie). Just make sure you wipe all partitions except sd card beforehand and don't install any mods before the first boot.

I was able to get the CM10 on with my current Hboot. but i prefer MUI. whenever i install mui it just gets stucked at the HTC screen. so i guess i would have to install the blackhorse. can i install the blackrose boot from CM10?>
