need advice

i am planning to install custom ROM,this my first time so don't want to take risk.

so please tell me if there is any stable CM9 ROM for day to day use without problem.if yes please give link for it. if not can you give link to stable CM7.2 ROM

i am using a defy+ 2.3.4 in india,i have rooted my phone installed cwm,taken nandroid backup etc.

please guide me.
