Need help figuring out what makes a service run. And killing battery!

What makes locationfriendservice run. Its under maps when I check settings-->applicstions-->running services.

It is killing my battery. What I have installed is, facebook, couple games, my wallet, pre check out, to calculator, shop savvy, sms backup, ti backup, rom manager, and sms box. Also tweet deck but its not set up!

I think that belongs to one of the AT&T bloatware apps. Have you uninstalled them?

Edit: Nevermind. A quick Google search tells me that it's from the Google Latitude app.

I think the att bloat was removed with cog. So its with latitude? What can I do to stop it from turning on?

Uninstall it. Latitude is not from AT&T. It's a Google app.

Will uninstalling latitude do anything to maps, and gps?

No. Latitude just reports your location for Google's social service.

I had this issue all you need to do is sign out of latitude
