You want to stop receiving text messages from someone? Do you want to erase text messages? Do you want to erase predictive words in the keyboard dictionary?

He wants to get rid of the "frequently text" part of the contacts/messaging stuff. He can't because it's part of the HTC software.

I think most people, myself included, just didn't understand what you were asking. Your question was worded in a confusing manner and I can't speak for everyone, but I just don't know what this "frequent text" thing is. I don't see anything like that in the stock messaging app which is why I, and probably others, just couldn't help you.

All that being said, I don't think (most) people are necessarily being malicious in their sarcasm but just making a little joke so don't take it too personally.

Ok say you want to send a text you press the icon the click on menu and click on group and it will show frequent or type a name that you normally use and it will say frequent next to name

Okay, now I see what you're taking about. I think I can safely say I never would have found that on my own. I think I can also safely say there is no way to remove that. It seems pretty embedded in the app but someone more knowledgeable than me might be able to figure out a way.

I don't use the messaging app, but try clearing data from Settings - Apps?
