Need help, loads of questions

Hey guyz,
First of all, let me tell you i am new here and a little slow too. This is my 3rd day with android. Got myself a defy. It has a green lens has froyo installed.
I have rooted the device using SuperOneClick.That pretty much all that i have done.

Question 1)
Do i need a full back up. I have already gotten a sbf file of my region
SBF file for india

If i ever screw up , can`t i just flash this on my phone and my defy will be in stock condition as it was out of the box ?

You have only rooted your phone you can't put another rom on without first installing Defy2ndint available from the market or by using RSDLite.

It is best to ALWAYS back your rom.

Have a good look through the forums first and you will find the answers.
