Need help with Flashing Ruu Error 171

I have at&t m8 i downloaded marsmallow ruu to flash my phone. he can detects my phone then phone goes to bootloader mode then error 171 occurs. And phone restarts himself. Please somebody help me i am about to go mads.

Error 171 indicates usb connection problem. You need Windows PC with USB 2.0 and htc usb drivers installed.

If your device is S-On and bootloader unlocked, you need to relock it first

fastboot oem lock
fastboot reboot-bootloader

its stuck on waiting for device i think i need to find drivers how can i find them

but i can see my device when i write adb devices

adb works when on OS or in recovery.
fastboot works when on fastboot/bootloader

Are you on bootloader/fastboot mode ?
