Need replacement for AKNotepad

Hi, Does anyone know what a good FREE app to use as a replacement for AKNotepad?
I have been using this app for a while now and like the fact that when get a new device or wipe my current one for whatever reason. All I have to do is log on to this app and all my notes are there. Basically they are stored on a cloud. Now that CATCH is no longer going to be around, I need to find a replacement.

They (Catch) have suggested:
Evernote
Simplenote
Springpad
OneNote

I have looked into INKPADNotepad and don't want to pay a monthly or yearly fee.

Basically, I just want to be able to jot something down for future reference.

I would like to know what others are using and what they recommend?

Yeah...I like it so far...been using it for a few weeks now...That and Color note....
