How did you downgrade to 4.1.1 from 4.3 without bricking your phone? Are you sure you have the sgh-i747 and not the sgh-i747m?

You can spare yourself the bother. If you are on stock 4.3, you cannot downgrade the modem as the modem and bootloader are in a tight and unbreakable marriage. You can, of course, downgrade the ROM (system) only without downgrading the bootloader and modem. Any attempt to downgrade the bootloader will, of course, result in an instant brick. Attempting to downgrade the modem without downgrading the bootloader may not result in an instant brick but will certainly result in the loss of your baseband/modem and consequent loss of all cellular functioning. Sorry but 4.3MJB is a one-way trip.
If I may also ask... why are you trying to downgrade to 4.1.1? If it's for unlocking, then sorry but no luck there. If you are on full stock 4.3, the free unlock method is not possible now as the exploit is tied to the modem which, like the bootloader, cannot be downgraded.

I figured that trying to downgrade would brick and/or cause issues from what I have read of people trying on here. I was just asking him how he did it because I am on stock NE4 rooted and wanted to go back to stock MJB. Now I know I can't ever go back to full MJB. Thanks for info!

I believe the OP was trying to downgrade from 4.3MJB to 4.1.1 (not 4.4 => 4.3) which is a definitive no-go. Although I haven't done it before, I believe full downgrade from 4.4 (NE4) to 4.3 without bricking is possible. I'll check the threads again for this possibility. Thanks

Oh okay, right on. Yeah it does seem he was on 4.3 going down to 4.1. If it's possible to go from 4.4 to 4.3 without bricking I would like to know how. All I have seen is people that try end up with a brick.
