Use the Splendid App that the device supplies to adjust your color palette. I have mine on - 6 (cool). Seems brighter and more true on that setting. At least for me.

What nas been exchanged? Only dock?

As I bought the tablet and dock as a unit I exchanged them both.

Just got mine. I had that same problem with black and white screen the first time I attached to dock and it updated itself. That was just a few hours ago. Otherwise all seems good. I do notice the screen does not seem as bright as my TF101 and the colors do not seem as true.

I am looking forward to rooting and getting upgrade to KitKat

That black and white screen vertical bar thing happened again. It seems to occur when I open the tablet after I sleep itby shutting it in the dock. After reboot it is fine. If it keeps happening I suppose I will return or replace it. Just not sure if it is the tablet or the dock. I purchased separetly.

I have this too, but higher up on the left side. It's really loud. I have to say the dock for the tf201 was constructed way better. I guess I should return this dock and hope for a better one.

Asus customer care told me that I have to send both: dock and tablet.

I just put a return for my dock. Twice I got just vertical white and black bars after sleeping in dock. When I would move the tablet angle in the dock even slightly my browser would go back in history. I noticed a few times after waking up tablet when docked that the dock was not charging the tablet.

My initial TF701 had a problem with the dock connection - tilting the screen even e few millimeters towards me resulted in the device turning off. I returned it and waited until it was clear that this was an incidental rather than structural problem. I got a new one about a week ago and I love it! No problems to date.

Glad to hear that you found a good dock. Mine is going back. Tilting screen disconnects SD card and causes browser to change pages. The dock does not charge the tablet after I wake the tablet from sleep when docked. Just hope the new one I ordered is okay.

New problem- I connected a usb mouse but it has erratic behavior when trying to open a folder. Have to use touch screen instead.

The TF701T is running android JB 4.2.2. These sound like early bugs that Asus is still working out. This happens with most releases from them. They are pretty good at issuing updates to fix them early on in the life cycle. Hopefully they are also working on KK4.4 as it absolutely flies on my nexus 5 especially as Google are dropping dalvik just in time (JIT) compilation and have introduced Android RunTime (ART)

Does KitKat(what did they pay for that product placement?) include selinux? Wood that block rooting and using ROMs?
