Wow you are ready to the 'big step' :D

Usually homebrew devs are scared of the '1.0' eheh no offense intended, just joking around ;)

Again thx for your hard work.

Sorry if I go a little offtopic ...
I look for informations about EMU7800 and I found this :
http://emu7800.sourceforge.net/

I looked on this forum to find other informations but I found nothing ...

They write this in the 1.0 Changelog :
"Initial Windows Phone release to Windows Phone Marketplace"

So they released it ? They submitted to the marketplace and they failed ? Do you have accurate informations about this ?

:/

EDIT : I just found you wrote the same thing 1 month ago ... dunno why my search failed the first time ...
Yeah I was curious so I emailed the creator and he replied yesterday. He said he would re-submit new a version soon since the old one was from November and was failed only a few days ago for minor issues.

Is there something different about punch out? The rom I used back in the day in windows mobile looks scrambled when played. All others seem fine. Tried a few from the web and they looked the same.

Sent from my PI39100 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

Thanks to you, I get to relive a few childhood memories. I had a NES as a child, but was poor and my parents (dad) never actually got me any new games aside from the 2 or 3 I had. The occasional rental was few and far between. One of them was The Adventures of Lolo, a puzzle game. I loved it, but had to return it before I could get all the way through. Now, I can play it at my leisure on my Lumia 800.

YAY!!!

Yeah there's an issue with the mapper that punch-out uses, I've fixed a few mappers in the new version and I'll look into the one punch-out uses.

hehe, we used to rent NES/SNES games back in the day as well. I'm glad you get to play The Adventures of Lolo again, one of my NES favorites :).

Think of releasing a 0.9 version on here, more of a public beta test before going to 1.0. I would hate to see you put all this work in an miss an important bug...

It would give you a chance to fix everything before going to 1.0...

Just a thought....

Public beta test sounds good, we'll see in a couple of weeks.

Sound good, just a thought as you could have a more perfect version uploaded to the marketplace on v 1.0.

I look forward to be able to get the arrows and buttons closer together as I have a hard time playing some games because of the distance.

If there is anything I can help with (grapics, etc) just let me know...

You know you can have a beta on the marketplace, you just need to allow people (via hotmail/Live account) who can acces it ?

Funny thing, apparently EMU7800 (an atari 2600/7800 emulator) had been pending since November for certification. And it finally got failed for a minor issue on the same day as my update got put through.
Does he/she have that here on XDA ? I would love to play a few classics from the 2600/7800. At least I could have the entire 2600 collection in the space of 4-5 NES games..heh

Thanks for the reply. Everything else is awesome (although i do agree the dpad may need closer together. I wonder if it's because i have a Titan and you wouldn't notice it on a smaller screen?)

It's noticeable on smaller screens. I'm using the Lumia 800 (3.7") and the dpad is still too far apart.

Yeah I'll use the marketplace beta thing, I actually could use a small metroish logo for the new version.

Sadly he doesn't have it on XDA, but he'll re-submit it to the marketplace shortly.

Speaking of new emulators, shouldn't Sonic's Jewels be up soon :]

The problem though, if u make the d-pad to small it gets really hard to have a hitbox that is easy to hit. Especially on smaller screens, but the new d-pad looks like a proper d-pad (smaller and less spacing), and I'll fine tune the hit boxes for it.

I gotta admit that I like those graphics. Although I am partial to the current one :p
Indeed me too, I'll have to see how it looks on the device first. These tiles would make it fit more in on the main screen however.

edit: just saw on twitter that Sonic's Jewels has been accepted into the marketplace: http://www.windowsphone.com/s?appid=5031fb24-830a-40e5-b756-f08395775c87
Can't download it yet, but should be up in <24 hours. Awesome to see more emulators on the marketplace :)

Yea, I like the current splash screen....Oh, yea, that's mine :) Just wish there was a way to get a white background depending on theme (I have both images)

I heard Sonic Jewels works but, with out sound. So, not sure if I will buy it till they get the sound working. Phantasy Star here I come (one of my all time favorate games, a ground breaking 8-bit RPG game for its time) !!!

A little trival for Sega Master system, They made Sonic for the master system in a very limited release, in fact, it's pretty rare to find a complete one and they are worth good money.

I think I read that sound is coming in the 1.2 release, I'm sure they'll make some progress. Personally I'm more curious of the performance on 1st and 2nd gen.

You could have a non-static splash screen, but it's a hacky solution and I wouldn't want to increase the loading time unnecessarily.

edit: ah cool it's out, uploaded alex kidd, phantasy star, sonic and wonderboy to my skydrive. Any other gems I'm missing? (grew up on Nintendo ;O)
