Been testing out some mango 60fps mode in the emulator;

Seeing it's running around 40-50 fps on the windows phone emulator I'm sure it will run smooth on the new Mango devices that are just around the corner, can't wait!

Sound seams to work very well also, it kinda craps out after a while, but I'm sure that's just a bug in the wp emulator.

Hey man I've dropped a list of games in the beta you sended me and I have to say that I love the new controls they are really better, Manic Mansion and the Dragon Warrior games aren't working but hey Final Fantasy 1 does =D It would be cool if the 'mango 60 fps mode' will be included in the next version of the beta since I have a Lg e900 and I saw somewhere that it has a faster screen then other phones or something but yea would love to give that a try ^^ Anywayz keep the good work up ! And you can send me new beta versions anytime ya want :p

Yeah the 60 fps mango mode will be included in the next beta, I'm just sorting out some bugs with the save states then I'll make it available publicly. I'll check out the mappers for those games later on.

Nice video and good to see that it runs faster on the emulator. The current phones should be able to handle it at the same speed, but I guess its the way they created the SDK and how it runs on devices.

Aye that's the price for having all the layers in between the hardware, but it is much more plesant for other things however.

Going install this tonight....Can't wait...I've been away going nuts trying to find one of those HP Touchpads for $99, I still dont have one yet...
Don't think they even sell those over here.

I was wondering if we will see any improvements after the retail update with the new device drivers. Wouldn't it be cool if they were able to optimize performance? Wishful thinking I am sure.

Sent from my SGH-i917 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App

We can always hope, don't think so though. Btw looked into game states, doesn't seam too hard to implement, I'll have go at it tomorrow.

Just a quick update on the progress, game states aka battery saves are now working pretty well, gets saved to the isolated storage, so could even be imported/exported in the future.

Been toying around with some more severe frameskipping, gets the whole thing going a lot faster, but feels more choppy.
