Ok I see. When I install the Nest app on the phone it just redirects me to Home. I do have that to notify me and it does but the alert gives that screen I showed you to open on phone. I think you got lucky or I'm messing something up.

Odd that it directs you to the Home app.
It looks like I can set up Nest separately but I'm not sure if that will remove it from G Home where I have all my other devices. I installed it on my phone but it's asking for the qr code and I have to dig that out somewhere. Do a search on Home and Nest to see the differences that I don't think Google even knows about. First they merge then maybe they merge then we're not sure if they are merging. I mean talk about convoluted. I'm going to keep at it and find out what is going on. Just curious, can you see your camera on Home or only Nest?

I can see them on both the Nest app and the Google Home app.

    Hi all,

Switched back to android after trying apple for a few months. Im now looking for a watch to replace my AW7, One thing i love about the AW is rich notifications when someone comes to my front door from my nest doorbell which works great. Previous android watches ive had never did this or if they did it was inconstant .

Does the GW5 do this? Showing a pic/video when someone presses the doorbell . Anyone have a nest and GW5 confirm this works?

    Thanks
We have Nest cameras and yes the GW5 does show pictures as long as you have notifications for the Nest app setup to notify you on the GW5.

I was just guessing. I might try that app but I have to run. I did d/l the Home app but it's still called "preview" with limited functionality. But there is a companion app that might work so I'll try that later. Thanks again.
No problem. I hope you get it working. Best of luck.
