Question Netflix not running on rooted device

Search This thread
We sorted this out on op10pro. It's to deal with root or unlocked bootloader. To get netfix, Hulu, and Disney plus to work you need liboemcrypto disabler. This one I modified for use on magisk 26. You need to flash huskydgs magisk mount extend first, then reboot then flash my altered liboemcrypto disabler then reboot in that order. Files attached below
Playback will only be in l3 as it will drop from disabling this, but all will work on device.

I can confirm this works on op 11 as well.

KernelSU depends on the type of kernel used. My OnePlus 9 Pro phone it wouldn't work with, but my OnePlus 11 phone worked perfectly.

Have a OnePlus 11 and can confirm this works. Thanks so much!

It works but man L3 SD quality is doo-doo excpecially when one is paying for HD price so for me it is not worth a hassle. Re-locked bootloder restored L1 with HD and Dolby. Day and night difference.

Only way with root we found. Do what you need to though. Root is more important to me.
Looks like it's a known bug:

Even so, I'm using this on my OP11 and the quality looks great. Was going to take a screenshot but they block it. Latest ROM.

Can you share the boot file of kernel su? I think there are no boot file of oneplus 11 on kernelsu web, my device show that android13.8, and the lastest one of kernel su is 13.5
I try to flash 13.5 but my phone is bricked

You don't flash the boot file from KernelSU. That could brick your phone. It's only used to gain temporary root.

On my rooted "OP11" with Magisk v25.2, unlocked bootloader Netlfix is already working normally :)

Here are the steps I followed:
Step 1: Uninstall Netflix,
Step 2: Install this Netflix v6.26.1 build 15.31696 Netflix version,
Step 3: Once installed, open Netflix and close the app,
Step 4: Then update Netflix from GooglePlay,
Step 5: Open the updated Netflix and sign in, then forcibly close the app (whisk the process),
Step 6: Open the app again and be greeted with an "error -93" code, then forcibly close the app (ram the process),
Step 7: Open the app again and enjoy a working Netflix.

I kept the "L1" level which displays "DRMInfo" however, in Netflix the level dropped to "L3".

Oh, wow, thanks. This actually worked for me (minus the error).
  1. Uninstalled current version
  2. Installed the apk
  3. Opened the app and closed it through recents
  4. Updated through Play Store and boom ❤️

Thanks again for the hint (y)

I'm using:
  • OnePlus 11 (CPH2449) (European version)
  • Latest official OxygenOS 13.1.0.590(EX01)
  • Classic Magisk Canary 26301 (not alpha/delta, not hidden, not frozen)
    • Play Integrity Fix 8.4 (by chiteroman)
    • liboemcrypto disabler 1.4 (about to test if this is even necessary) (it's actually working without it right now)

Does it play HD? Also do you have a link of Play Integrity Fix 8.0?

Have you flashed the universal safenet fix and hide root for netflix ?
I have unlocked the bootloader and rooted my OP11 and am no longer able to run Netflix on my device. I am aware that this appears to be a known issue in some cases. I have tried hiding the Magisk app, downloading a new APK from APKMirror all to no avail. In the Google Play store, it says that the app won't work with my device. It's currently working fine on my OP8 Pro, which is also rooted with an unlocked bootloader.

Any suggestions on how to get it wokring? Thanks!
