would be nice but i don't think he can port any rom he likes. phones must have similar hardware or he will make the code from scratch which is not called porting anymore. that would be a totally new OS for g4. Very hard. If anyone could do it, then LG would have done it already

of course you realise that this applies to only you and those that you like going on a trip and keep playing games while traveling........
so every 3 hours of hard gaming you switch batteries ? what can i say..... indeed it's a nice idea, but i still wish people would quit facebook and gaming for hours and live a little more.
for me one battery is enough to get through 2 or 3 days -_-

Yes, i switch my battery every 3 hours. Act, i also have the same wish as you but what i can say.. i also can't quit facebook yet because my job is rely on facebook. I do online businesses, so u might know why.. Don't get me wrong, i'm not addict with social media plus i already deleted my twitter and instagram since i'm married last year just because i think i need to stay more focus on my family..
And gaming, i'll only play mobile legend if i really don't have anything to do on that time but usually it is filled up with mod my ride or jungle trekking or ghost hunting.. :silly:

I'm not familiar with LG code at all, but yes that's exactly my point we want 7.0! Haha jk, I know it's hard but doable tbh... Not that I will do it lol too much work haha. Besides I sucks at it, I'm currently studying business at uni so yeah, not really my expertise

It's possible, but it would took a lot of time to get it booting. Guys brought KitKat to I9300, they could even 5.1 but no one was interested in doing so

Yeah ik it's possible, and maybe not even that hard lol, give it try if you want and if you have the time on it, I wouldn't spend too much time getting it to boot though.

Tbh, don't bother porting the G5 rom, Genysis does a great job at it tbh and the G5 rom doesn't have too many improvements IMO.

Actually you're really wrong. G5 marshmallow is much better than this crap we have on G4 or G3. Look at Android version. We use 6.0 and G5 uses 6.0.1. Only thing that really got improved is what you can guess, Doze and standby time improvements... It's minor Android update but huge doze update... We can blame LG for whatever bringing marshmallow that early(9 days after Nexuses ) or for that they are lazy as **** and they are not making UX 4.0 with 6.0.1 or they don't bother bringing UX 5.0 to G4 and other devices at least till now, when will get UX 5.0 but I hope that it it will be 7.1.1 as it will most likely be our very last update.

Tbh, I just can't see it making a difference at all. I know doze is great and all but it won't make too much of a difference lol. As for the android update I am 99% sure that we will stay on UX 4.0 with android 7.1. Same thing happened with my LG G3.

What? G4 will get newer UX as G2 and G3 did. G3 got G4 look as on lollipop it was Grey and ugly. Compare how lollipop was looking and how it looks now on marshmallow. G4 will finish with 5.0+. I really want it to happen as we will get Sony like theming options and stock ROM won't be that limited

I can remember when LG went from 4.4 of the G4 to 5.X yes, they did update the UX UI but I clearly remember them not updating the UX UI to 4.0 from 5.X to 6.X. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm 99.9% sure lol.

Jesus people, stop crying and make a reaserch before you gonna buy a phone. This kind of posts are on every phone forum, every single one, G4 is my 11th Android phone, I had Motorola, Sony, OPO2, OPPO, Samsung and on each forum I've seen countless posts like this. FYI - LG is a first phone that I really like after one year of using, just before I bought it I have read about unlocking bootloader, root, etc and chose it after some reaserch.

There must be a way to restore the bootloader . I read on some post taht a guy used a ZTE software to rewrite all phone partitions and he modified IMEI and Device ID . He did not changed bootlaoder but I think there must be a way .I will look for that post and I will post here . He explained that his phone was switching mode and appeared in his Windows Device manager like a serial COM device and he had access to all phone partitions ,about 20-30 of them .

h811 tmobiles doesnt require imei or id, just command. others need the .bin key from LG
