Since 11.4.1.27 update, I had battery drain, my tablet never gone to deep spleep.
I inspected with BBS the partials wakelocks and found severals apparented to wifi and google play servives.
First I have disabled services (with application DisableService), in "Services GooglePlay" (system part) :
- All GcmReceiverService
- GcmSchedulerWakeUpService
- All Wearable services
The partials wakelock were gone, but no deep sleep...
I rebooted the device and miracle deep sleep was come back !
I reenables all services, deep sleep always here, used play store, maps etc... Oops no deep sleep anymore.
Finally I only disable GcmSchedulerWakeUpService and until now it's resolved. I don't see unvailable functionality in relation with disabling GcmSchedulerWakeUpService.
Hope it will keep going and help people in the same situation.

Thanks for this! I'll give that a try.
Are you saying with GcmSchedulerWakeUp service disabled you can still use Google apps and it goes to deep sleep?

Sadly I don't have root access on my tablet, so I can't try the option with Google Services. I also uninstalled the updates on the Asus Browser and started using Chrome instead but the problem persisted after I installed some stuff on the tablet, such as the XDA app and others. I have no idea what to try anymore, except warranty, but those guys'll probably just do a factory reset and say everything is OK, without even trying to use it properly.

I did a Full whipe and after every app-update and app-install i checked it the Tablet goes into deep sleep. Now, without Asus Browser and g+ Update, the problem is solved for me.

Going to try the same also. I use to go several days with the tablet asleep with no problem but after the update I have to charge it every day even when not being used. Will report back. Just did a little googling and it shows it is for google cloud messing which is kind of new. I would expect hangouts not to function properly but I don'e use it on the tablets anyways so no loss there...

I was finally able to get my tablet in deep sleep again...
Disabling only GcmSchedulerWakeUpService didn't really help for me as tablet wouldn't enter deep sleep.

what did the trick was to use an autostart app (i use Autostarts: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts&hl=en ) and disable everything from Google Play Services.

Rebooted and now tablet deep sleeps as it did before with minimal battery loss overnight.

It didn't do anything for me either. Still lost about 7%/hour.
I then disabled all wearable services, but that didn't help either. Lost between 6 and 10%/hour with that configuration.

I then clean installed CROMi-X, did not restore any of my apps, did not update Google apps and left it alone overnight.
With that setup it lost 6% in 10 hours = 0.6%/hour.
Much better, but not really a permanent solution.
Play services version is 5.0.89
@Alta1r
About Autostarts. Are you still able to use the Google apps? Meaning: do they start needed services when called or are they permanently disabled?
And if they do start once needed, what happens to battery drain after using Gmail, Chrome, Play Store, Maps etc?

Forgot to mention that I did wipe the tablet the before but didn't help either. Wearable and fit services were already disabled even before the battery drain started. I even Greenfield Google Play Services but the drain was still there.

I don't see any problems with all the autostarts for Google Play Services disabled: every Google app i use works without problems as soon as it's launched. Even when exiting the app doesn't bring back the battery drain (apps are being Greenfield when display is turned off).
Though, I use the Google apps when I want to use them, they never run automatically in the background (such as location reporting, updates in the Play Store,...).

You can give it a try and revert back if you don't like it. There are some other apps for free on the store that also manage the auto starts.

Just to be sure, you are on Play services 5.6.87 and have the latest updates of Gapps installed?

Maybe you want to chime in here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2609964
Would be easier if we discuss this problem in one thread ;)

Well, since last night i'm on 6.5.99 though, but i was on version 5.6.87 until yesterday (have a Titanium back up from Sunday that confirms it). I stopped my battery drain with disabling Google Play Services in Autostart on Sunday night, so i'm pretty sure it wasn't the new version yet.

Ok, will head over to the other post :)
