I replaced my 3 year old battery and with the latest marshmallow it actually runs great and lasts a day and a half before having to charge again, it's like a new phone. Going to buy a few and stock up. what's the latest manufacturing date anyone has found on their batteries? I think the newest I have found is 2015/6 or something like that (can't be bothered to take back off phone to check now)

I'm thinking of replacing my battery for my N5, but I'd like to use one of these 3200/3800 batteries:

Good idea? Anyone using those?

Or better by an original 2300? It's not enough uptime for me though....
It's physically impossible to fit more battery capacity into the same volume of a 2300mAh battery, those batteries are "fake" so to speak.

How is 2158 mah capacity a good result, the original battery is 2300mah?

Original battery is 3 years old and lose 800mah, now it is 1500mah. And it is not capable to keep necessary voltage, that is why it discharging very fast. With new battery from nohon my Nexus last for 20 hours.
Any battery lost 10% of its capacity every year and it doesn't take into account damage from charging cycles. So even new battery can lose some mAh because of laying in stock for half of the year.

I see, thanks.

Can I actually measure the batterie's max mA fully charged load with AccuBattery? Is that accurate? I'll try it asap.

Yes after every charging it shows mAh that is pumped into battery) Also it show current for discharging and for charging state, mAh average and mAh for screen off. You can make some testing of this app. It has quite usefull features)[emoji106]

Hey everyone, my wife also has her Nexus 5 which is still going strong after 4.5 years! I tried replacing the original battery with this one, which is just awful: after 4 months, it's just as worn-out as the original 4-year old battery.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good replacement battery for the nexus 5? (most of the links already published in this thread don't work anymore)

Thanks!
Dom

I got mine from here, https://www.ifixit.com/Search?query=Nexua+5+battery
I know 20.00 seems a bit much but I had no problems with it at all. Average SOT was 3 hr, haven't gotten any better than that without tweaking the kernel.
