Unable to copy to system/app

I took a backup of my original systemui.apk and copied the modified apk to system/apps/ and merged it with the existing one.

it merged and showed a error message system ui error occured.

I restarted and I cant see my notification or any icons on top.

When I copy the original apk and merge with existing it is not merging and states operation failed.

Please help.

Navigate back to the app and set the permissions as rw-r-r

Use root explorer
Go system/ App
Make back up of orignal systemui.apk
Copy modified systemui.apk to system
Make permission rw-r-r
Now move it to app folder
And replace it with orignal one
Restart device!!!!!!!!
