I am a standard user for the xperia Z...so I play games, but listen to music allot so my screen is almost in lock mode...!!! But when I on it it's just for using whatsapp or games or browsing...!!!

I am not a hardcore user..!!

Lol example from the op:

Keep screen brightness at zero

Only one page of apps no widgets

Sorry but I'd rather have a bit less battery than neuter my phone..... I would say that's more irrational, it's like buying a sports car and saying I'll save gas If I never drive it, or only drive it ten feet every week!
My god, ronak123456 JUST started his thread yesterday... maybe he will find a lot better ways to save battery and can lift his "standard settings"...like I did.

I also recommended 0% when I started months ago.

But as you can read in my thread I currently get 7+h of screen-on-time
with 25-30% brightness, auto-sync on, 4 email-accounts syncing every 3-6 h, 9 widgets on 3 homescreens, led working, whatsapp whitelisted, fast performance, .... and with a great "smartphone" usage pattern/ doing more than a normal user does!

So all your arguments are invalid. Just inform yourself better.

And give ronak123456 a chance...jesus... critizising is easy, contribution needs guts!

Sure you can do that :)
Ok, will put a link to your thread when I update my thread. Hope it will help you a little.

Sure you do...

You make some grand claims and provide no evidence.

When you guys are done making out let me know.

Considering one of your claims is to "calibrate your battery"

I'm an electrical engineer and can tell you this is absolute bs

Batteries have no memory and cannot be calibrated. If anything since batteries only have a certain number of discharge cycles it could actually harm your battery

great for you, why don't you contribute with information like that from the beginning instead of bullying ronak123456? I'm studying technology of information systems (includes electronics engineering), but I'm new to "battery calibration".

You could be right about that cherry picked topic (disregarding my many many proven tips), but thats a controversially discussed topic and you know that. I even wrote next to that tip that it depends on the batteries condition. Even the manufacturers like sony describe in their manuals how you should charge the phones for the first time(s) etc. So for safety measures I included battery calibration as a tip. And thats what you blame me for? Thats why you loose respect and start to also hate on my thread?

About your proof-topic:
Look for photoshop-traces etc. My screen-on-time-/statistics-screenshots etc. are not faked. And my usage pattern is what I do with my phone on average (of course I do not exactly do the same every day...no human being does), if thats what you mean.

Tell me what kind of proof you want and I'd love to post it (if its not too much of work and it won't involve too battery consuming steps to ruin my statistics on purpose).

I don't want to argue on the internet anymore.
I will prove you wrong and you will stop posting in my and ronak123456's threads.

Deal?

That's alright...

Pretty much straight usage, and you had to disable a bunch of stuff.

Meh.
LOL...it's used as a normal usage the above one was showing stats from 54% i guess..!!! maybe because had to reboot the phone..

This one is real one and the battery left is 20% and it's still going on...I'm sure it should last till 9 hours and some minutes...!!!

And yes..By the photos...which I just uploaded...I proved that the battery really last that long if you follow what I did...!!!
hardly...

That still is only ok really. 4-5 hours is alright, but that is also with brightness and zero, only one screen of apps with no widgets, etc..

I get 4 to 4 1/2 and don't have to turn all that stuff off.

Nonetheless though, you're right that is better, and believable battery life.

So I will leave you be since that still would end up being 5 hours or slightly more, which is an improvement.

Helpful and honest, so I will give you a thanks on this thread.

Still not buying anyone saying 7+hours though

I'm talking about 7 hours of the screen being on (screen on time), not 7 hours total. I know it can do that. Screen on time is the real test

Its a Lil better but I think everyone gets 4-5hours without disabling things like widgets etc. In that sense its ok but not much different. Anyone can accomplish standby time much higher than 7hrs, its all about the 'on screen time' that matters. Thats why everyone got confused when you said you got 7 hours since all battery tests people look at the actual usage...as in when the phone is on and in use "screen time"
