....Is awesome! Update Motorola boot services in the play store

It's the little things....

I had updated my logo.bin and animation file after unlocking my bootloader to avoid the ugly "unlocked" warning. Now my boot logo and animation do not match. I could get the animation back to match it, but I'd much rather have the boot logo+animation that Motorola periodically puts out. Does anyone know how to change the logo+animation back to normal, without the warning message AND have it update whenever Motorola does?

Love it. And you are right. This phone has all its devils in the details.

Can someone make a full video? My phone has bootloader unlocked so I only see the new boot animation. But not the new bootlogo.

EDIT

Found it:

I really need this new bootlogo :(

I love that Motorola and still adding and updating the fun features of the Moto X. The new boot logo/animation doesn't really do much for me though, I'll be sticking with my custom one.

Damn. I didn't even know there was an update. I updated and get the animation but don't get the "Powered by Android" message either. My wife however, did not get the new animation on her Moto X even though her phone updated. When I get home I'll try clearing the data for her through the app and see if that helps. She's afraid to do it herself.

Just take your /system/media/bootanimation.zip from your phone and replace the parts inside with the corresponding parts from the apk. Then put it back on your phone and make sure permissions are set the same.

I don't know off hand of it's possible to do if you're not rooted (ie, by putting the bootanimation.zip on another location).

It didn't work for my wife either. Go to settings > apps > Motorola boot services and then click on "Clear Data", it'll then warn you about resetting the app; just click " OK" and then reboot the phone and it should work then.
