The new Xiaomi Mi 8 line of devices almost have their own individual forum per device on XDA apart from the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. I was wondering if a new forum for the Mi 8 Lite could be made as there are many conflicting posts on the already busy Mi 8 forum.

Sir can you add my device in xda device list, cause i cant find my device
I am not the ET (Enhanced Tag) Administrator nor am I an Administrator/Moderator of any type.

The following is a type of disclaimer that is present on many/most of my posts.
PLEASE NOTE: I'm not in any way an Official XDA Representative (ie... Administrator/Moderator). The information above is just a little helpful information for those of you who may not be aware of it.
The following Enhanced Tag link has almost 2 full pages (1 Page = 20 Threads) and it requires at least 3+ pages for @O_G to even consider a device for its own Device Dedicated Area of the Forum.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/vivo-y51l

I hope that this clarifies your question a bit better and thank you for your time and understanding with this.

My contribution here is to help members out however I can with some guidance and such since @O_G does have his hands full on the forum and does a great job too.

We have now introduced an Enhanced Tag system, this will bring devices a place within the XDA community which may have been forgotten in the past. These work differently to a forum, they only consist of a discussion page, which is fine for a device with a handful of threads available. They will appear in the device search, just like a full forum, but may have restrictions when accessed by applications such as tapatalk, and are not available for subscription. Those eagle-eyed members may also have noticed these don't have an actual location, they are as the name suggests, "tagged" to a page description.

These tagged threads are located in sections of the community that are allocated to a range of devices, such as Misc Android dev, when the ET is created the devices threads are "tagged" from these locations, subsequent threads created from within the ET, are allocated the tag automatically, threads created after the ET and created outside of it, are periodically swept-up and tagged.

When an ET grows to the point a discussion page becomes un-manageable and cumbersome for members to navigate, we will add the sub-forums and give the device full forum status. A general consensus on this is three pages. If anybody notices an ET with 3 pages or more, feel free to PM me, or point it out in this thread, we will look into getting it upgraded.

Please post any requests for an Enhanced Tag in this thread, just as you would a forum, just remember, no threads, no tag.

Some popular devices may have a forum allocated to them from the get-go, these are ones predicted to grow rapidly.

We hope this satisfies the ever increasing quantity of devices being released now.

Thanks to those who contribute to our great community:good:

So hey! I am unable to see any forums for newer released A series smartphones of Samsung, what about them? I need to try out the Google Camera port on my Samsung A9 and see if it improves the pictures.

Not looking hard enough. A6, A7, A8 - 2018 all have forums.
Simple search would yield these results.

Things have moved around since the theme update. If you're on the new theme, click the search icon, and enter your device. Under the "jump to forum" header, select your device. Otherwise, use the device finder. Hope that helps you out. :)

Please add Umidigi Z2 Special Edition/Pro or Z2 and variants!

Or maybe it would be easier to just add the brand Umidigi instead if each individual device from that brand. I guess that is what I was requesting from the start.

Thanks!!

This is a very good point/question...

Even though the following Enhanced Tag link is specific to the Umidigi Z2 device...

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/umidigi-z2

... The either the XDA Admin /ET Admin may have looked (or be looking) at this request in a few different directions as well depending upon the Development & Support threads for the Z2 variants.

My opinion/suggestion would be to await for enough threads for the Device Dedicated Area to be created for the Umidigi Z2 (based upon the above ET Link) first.

Then, after that time, request for either:

1) 2 New Device Dedicated Area for the:

"Umidigi Z2 SE/Special Edition"
"Umidigi Z2 Pro"

2) 2 Subcategories (of the 2 listed devices above) within the Umidigi Z2 area of the forum.

The 2 options are actually handled by 2 different Administrators...

The ET Administrator (specifically @O_G) handles the addition of (aka the creation of) Enhanced Tag Links and New Device Dedicated Areas of the forum that "doesn't" already exist.

The XDA Forum Administrator (specifically @MikeChannon) handles the rest. Though Mike can actually perform what O_G can, Mike just leaves it in O_G's capable hands. Only (and only if needed) on occasion you may find Mike giving a hand to O_G.

This is just to help you out with what, I believe, are the best suggestion/recommendation for what you asked about @samalama76, as well as a little understanding (based upon what I know) of "who, what and why" as well.

I wish you the best of luck! :)

The following is the Enhanced Tag link that's specific to your requested device.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/verizon-wear24

Also, you may be interested in the following link which reflects that Verizon had discontinued Wear24 device.

https://www.androidpolice.com/2017/09/25/verizon-discontinues-wear24-smartwatch-just-4-months/

And on the following link, you'll notice the "No longer available for purchase." that means (in Verizon lingo) that it's been Discontinued as well.

https://www.verizonwireless.com/connected-devices/verizon-wear24/

Good Luck! :)

We have Mi 8 forums but not Mi 8 Lite / Pro which are two very different devices, that should be split up, not as one big forum. Thanks.
The following is the Enhanced Tag link that's specific to the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite device.

The following is the Device Dedicated Area of the forum that's specific to the Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro device.

Good Luck and Enjoy! :)

Imo, a tag isn't really enough, you can't search for a "device" named the Mi 8 Lite. They should really be separated into different forums - even more so that the 8 Pro is split up.
Thanks.

It looks like your really not grasping the whole picture on what is involved regarding the process in adding new device specific areas within the Forum...

This is not a problem my friend. Some individuals need a little more information to understand it (I admit I'm guilty myself with various areas of the forum as well).

Please Note the following threads that include the Processes, Procedures and further Clarifications thereof from the "ET Administrator" @O_G.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26247963

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26248076

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=73515766

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=73918308

Please Note the following as well that also includes the Processes, Procedures and further Clarifications thereof from the "XDA Administrator" @MikeChannon.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=70115161

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=76309487

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=76315375

Please note the following little Helper Guide that I had posted on how to add an Enhanced Tag to a thread thread that's missing from the list of threads within an ET Link.

https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=77602221

This is the best I can provide with the guidance I can offer. If you require any further Clarifications, @O_G and, if necessary @MikeChannon would be more than happy to help you out. They are both "Excellent" (and patient too) with anything involving this threads subject matter.

I do wish you the best of luck! :)
