Wow deja vu, could have sworn I had read this beforeSony better concentrate and release 4.2.2, v.307 base on 4.1.2 can just direct pass it. No need continue tune the 4.1.2 version.

I completely agree with that. Coming from a nexus 4 with 4.2.2 I can say that it's really nothing much there.compared to what we currently have on the Xperia Z. There is a lot of added value on our stock Xperia z ROM.There is nothing interesting in 4.2.2 that would make the update 'just for the OS' worth it. Sony is however preparing a lot of fun stuff that will probably be released together with the 4.2.2 update. Since they are in no hurry to release 4.2.2 (which is ready and stable), they're waiting for the other new projects to be finished.
This includes, for example, the integration of Music Unlimited in the Walkman app. And some other fun stuff. Probably also the launcher with transparent notification bar/softkeys.

Yes, but we have 3.4.0 kernel, many 4.2.*. devices has 3.0.4.2.* much better kernel in terms of performance to support the newer devices
