Or you can download and flash the 'Generic HK' 10.1.A.1.434 firmware, root it and then update OTA to 10.1.1.A.1.307.

The only problem is: if you downgrade from 10.1.1.A.1.253 to 10.1.A.1.434 without wiping data, usually your phone gets stuck into a bootloop because of the 'NFC firmware update'. So, to downgrade, you would have to backup all your data and then flash 10.1.A.1.434 including wipe of all data.

lol thats lame!.. i think i did delete the xperia facebook crap.. leaving only the facebook facebook app

yea i know, just too much work for me lol..nothing much changed between 253 and 307. i dont care about anything else other than my messages. I know how to back up just too damn lazy! :fingers-crossed:

Here are all the Facebook APKs I could find in 10.1.1.A.1.253: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2e8v9obsknops8m/XperiaFacebookAPKs.zip
You can check which ones are missing in system/app and restore them from this ZIP file.
Don't forget to set the right permissions (the same as the other APKs in system/app).
Hopefully OTA update will work again

I restored every app I deleted, but wasn't able to get an update ota. I ended up in building a ftf file from my sus files and flash system partition via flashtool. After that ota was no problem!

That update check URL is only valid for Sony PC Companion. OTA update usually comes later.

That's the global-en website, so that information is not valid for all firmware customizations. Even on the websites for specific countries, the 'latest available software' information isn't always up to date.

For the latest available software, check these lists (daily updated) or bookmark the right URL from that thread, which displays the latest version directly from Sony's update server. It's the URL Sony PC Companion uses to check for updates.

Pros: faster camera shut on..
Iu and menu much smoother
White color balancing config

Contra: pictures in low light still Very poor for being a 13mp. My xperia arc was better!
Battery drains a lot more..
Rooted but very unstable, everytime i wanna use root uninstaller or similar the phone freezes 2 sec. And restarts alone..
Very annoying!

Hope they bring out a Real Update!

Yep thats what i was saying! Same as the audio quality of the speakers, much better on the Arc...
The xperia Z still has overheating issues! Playing games or using it non stop makes the backside of the phone literally burn... NOT VERY NICE SONY!

have you tried SCENE NIGHT PORTRAIT?

I think XZ with .307 become one of the best camera phone ever..I can post 3 examples in VERY difficult low light conditions in full 13MPX..IMHO very good..and if you change resolution (non needed but it gets a better final quality) of the pictures to standard 8MPX you will find the incredible quality compared to the other 8MPX smartphones
