It just seems like a bug fix release, but I had no problems with 283.

You can keep data when flashing with Flashtool. Just make sure all wipe options are unchecked.

Had two bugs with previous FW.

Camera app has been updated but the version number remains the same. Noticed that HDR mode isn't available for 13MP and 9MP modes.

i have friends with iphones and the exact same crashing happens to them too from time to time
With every update some features are gone. In 4.4.4 HDR is much worse then before.At least for me (night pictures).

I use ZL. And I saw some improvements in picture quality in low lighting.
just for information HDR mode is not made for lowlight scenes, its made for daylight :] Its for bumping details in shadows and bright parts of images :]
To be honest no matter if its phone or camera, HDR images should not be used often, in everyday it can take worst quality images, and just like night scene mode you should take such images with support(tripod, monopod or just any wall, fence)
I'm using the HDR function a lot. I didn't see a difference after the update.
The only thing I found out that the camera got a little slower. There's a short lag after making a picture.
There are always good reasons for any update, so for that reason it's worth it.
The things i notice with the .292, is LTE shows as 4G, NFC icon is back when active , when i try to make a call with WIFI conected to a network, the phone ask me if i want to make WIFI call or via operator. If i choose WIFI then i need to setup an account.
For me i can see a good signal strength in 292 update. I don't know about other functions but regarding mobile network signal strength its better in 292 for me.. A very useful update.. For me
