does any1 has the issue that the power-management is not showing the right standby time, since my full recharge at 100% it is showing 8hours only, cant think that is possible.

Anyone got the Aus firmware tft file? I'm a bit hesitant loading a Singapore tft for a 6602 when mine is a 6603.

BTW, I've rooted mine (no mods just some root required sw installed) - should I still get updates normally through pc companion/SUS or does that stop it?

I am in the same situation. Have rooted the phone + pureaudio mod. Will I loose all of that after upgrading by Non-OTA method? I really need this phone to remain rooted because of the nature of the apps I use. If the only way is to wait for the OTA update, I will - just wanted to know what's the deal...

Cannot detect new update

Hi All,

Is there a fix about my phone not being able to detect the new update? This is for both phone and PC companion. I am from Manila and some of my friends already got the update :(

You need to backup TA before unlocking BL for the 1st time.

1. Root is required on the current device, 434ver, terminal emulator too.
2. In terminal type SU, grant access in the popup window.
3. Type dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/sdcard/ta-backup.img

"Backup: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/sdcard/ta-backup.img"
"Restore: dd if=/sdcard/ta-backup.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 "

4. Copy ta-backup.img on the computer too (please check MD5, i never did this but it's important)
5. Flashtool: flash new ROM (i didn't turned on my phone after this but it doesn't matter)
6. Unlock BL with FlashTOOL
7. Flash AdvancedStockKernel (i've used the one provided in link even if it was for 434)
8. TurnOn the phone, press vol- until CWM will pop.
9. Flash SU.zip
10. Open FlashTool again, select the new rom but uncheck everything except KERNEL
11. On your phone you have the option to reboot system (CWM menu), do it and press V-
12. Flashtool will start flashing the kernel
13. Start the phone, open terminal and use restore ta in terminal:
dd if=/sdcard/ta-backup.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1

You will have the new room with root and BL locked again, BE&DRM intact.
Thanks for your method, it is working, now I am root and re-gain back BE2 & DRM. :)

Now going to try any issue or not if flashing anything via CWM.

I've used SuperUser.zip and CWM not TRWP.

After booting up i've installed SuperSU and uninstalled SuperUSER.
I got 3 or 4 reboots when trying to uninstall some bloatware like sonyselect but after that everything is running fine.
Hmm... I also facing the auto reboot issue.

I am using SuperSU and previously CWM. Seems this root method is not a way to go. Or you got any better way? I can't access root explorer as it reboot.

Well, then I have to wit for the OTA I guess. I really need to have rooted phone, so I guess it's just a matter of time to find another method for rooting the phone. However I'm still conused - will be there OTA update, or this will be update trough PCC only?

Been searching high and low for the proper "superuser".zip file.. Where did you get the correct one to flash from CWM?
Sorry if this has an obvious answer..

NWM. Figured it out.. Works like a charm, thanks!
