I thought about that also but I didn't install any apps yet. Are you not having this issue yourself when running on AT&T using unlocked T-Mobile N3?
Not me... I can confirm that your issue has nothing to do with using a T-Mobile Note 3 on AT&T...I thought about that also but I didn't install any apps yet. Are you not having this issue yourself when running on AT&T using unlocked T-Mobile N3?
Same here. I'm already on the $30 pre-paid plan and told them that. They didn't even verify it, I could've totally lied, lol. You pay the $740 for the phone and your done, no need to add anything. If they try to tell you different, go to another store.I had no problems walking into a T-Mobile store and just buying the phone by itself. It was 740+tax with no sim or line commitment or anything. I had the phone unlock codes while I was still in the store (cellunlocker dot net), and I was using ATT LTE on it within about 15 minutes. Super easy.
Great post, thank you. I dont currently plan on rooting mine at the moment. so the above is great.:good:Now to de-T-Mo my phone:
As I'm planning to stay on stock for a while as the ROM devs get cranking up, I'm cleaning it up some.
Shut down: renamed to System\Media\Audio\ui\shutdown.old
Start up: renamed to System\Media\Audio\ui\poweron.old
Boot animation. I normally use ROM Toolbox easily to swap out boot animations but it wasn't replacing the T-Mobile startup screen, so I renamed the following file: system\bin\bootanimation (to bootanimationold)
Most of you know this stuff but its been a while on stock/fresh ROM for me, so maybe it'll help others![]()
Ok, thanks. I didn't install any apps other than XDA so I don't think it's an app issue. I've already sim unlocked the phone, do I still need to use the method you posted with Chainfire's region lock app? Just curious what is the battery temperature of your N3 when you are using it? Honestly I don't know what the issue is with mine but I like to keep this phone rather than going back to ATT.Not me... Why?... I have 2 T-Mobile Note 3... One with T-Mobile Sim Card (black note 3) and the other a white note 3 with AT&T Sim Card... I have been playing with both all day and they are both the same thing regarding battery consumption... No issues at all.
One thing I noted was that the first day on both phones... After fully charged they both died much faster than the Note 2... But after 2nd, 3rd battery cycle... They are both much better than Note 2 and last how they should...
From my experience... your battery drain issue, I think it might be an app gone wild...

I am using GSAM Battery Monitor app. It's averaging 97 degrees and the back of phone feels warm. The AT&T model I had was not this warm for sure. I wonder if it's my AT&T account instead of the phone itself since it's not happening for anyone else.Regarding Chainfire's app... No need for it in your case...
And about battery temperature... I am using today the N3 with Tmo sim... Not the N3 with AT&T...
What are you using to measure battery temperature? You mean more or less by touching it or an actual real measure of temperature with an app? Let me know how are you measuring the temperature...

This is my tmo note 3 unlocked via Chainfire's app and with tmo sim... As a control...I am using GSAM Battery Monitor app. It's averaging 97 degrees and the back of phone feels warm. Wow, perhaps Tmo version runs hotter than AT&T version, at least 6 - 10 degrees less. I always thought this makes the battery drain faster? Maybe it is normal for Tmo N3. I appreciate you helping out. This is my tmo note 3 unlocked via Chainfire's app and with tmo sim... As a control...
Edit: Now is 96
And now 97... Lol
So your phone is perfect in temperature... No fever... Lol

I dont think you get LTE with the international version, at least not in the StatesI understand that the T-Mo version has its many advantages of having its unlocked bootloader, DEV support, SIM unlock, etc....Price point aside, are there any major advantages/disadvantages between purchasing the T-Mo(N900T) or the Intl version (N9005) Every stat comparison seems to be similar, and all the freq bands are there. Looking for some definitive answers from the community before spending big bucks on a new unit.
Change the apn.I wouldnt say it was the smoothest route to take as ATT dropped my data plan as their system didnt recognize the T mobile IMEI number. Then I had to contact ATT C/S to have my old grandfathered data plan put back, they put it back but now they havent used the LTE version LOL.
