I can't unpack the file. the system says unknown or corrupt. Could you try if you can and possibly send it back to me?

I just downloaded it again using the same link I posted and I can extract it just fine. I even did a binary compare between the file on Dropbox and the file I saved onto my NAS, no differences.

I tried to read the whole 45 pages. I have Joying UQ128N4G. It came with the old UI and it works pretty good. But I have few small problems.
1- The GPS seems to work so much worse than my old Ownice C500 unit. I am using the VW rooftop antenna and I tried with the Joying's own antenna on dash also. The Joying antenna seem to give slightly better SNR but still it loses location when driving etc. Is there others having similar issues or should I be opening the radio to look at connections?
2- The fonts seem to be quite small in navigation apps. I guess there is no way to change it without rooting?

Since Android 8.1 (or so), you do not need to change DPI via root. Go to settings -> Display -> Advanced -> character size

With Joying UQ128N4G I am having another annoying problem. This is a unit without physical button. I have button lights on time based setting. Because otherwise they are always on as car turns on dash illumination always. Nowadays the problem is that it is too dark in the evenings to see the buttons.

In my previous Ownice C500 unit, the button lights could dim with the dash dimmer. I guess this is not possible with these units?

I also had problem where Google maps said the compass accuracy is low and I should rotate the unit. Obviously this is not possible. Do others have this problem?

Please check your GPS cable, the connection to the unit and the position of the end "box". It should have a clear view on the sky. Below the dashboard is not a problem, below lots of metal you will have a bad reception.

I tried "Android Shortcut Settings" It is very cool and opens a Settings app which is different and the Display option suggests changing font size. However it does not have option to change font size

The car has the VW GPS module 1J0035498C on roof and this module worked perfectly in all weather conditions with Ownice C500. But I also tried the antenna which was shipped with the headend "on top of the dash". The apps showed only slightly better signal with that GPS antenna. When I tried to drive, the radio lost my position never the less. Sometimes it works but I feel it is quite borderline.

Is there a way to have comparison? For example I tried GPS Test app from Android store and my phone has much better accuracy when it is inside the car next to gear lever even. But I am not sure if this is a good comparison.

The GPS signal itself is perhaps not bad. It is hard to compare. Except my phone says it finds 60+ satellite and use 25+. But joying unit says 15-20 satellite and uses 6-9.(when it has lock).

Often it has no lock or accuracy is low (10+meters). Google maps still show me moving on map even when Gps Test says there is no lock.

I have a problem with my main unit.

I have a 4GB and 64GB RAM. 7862 processor.
MCU ZAHAN.

My unit has no CAN communication with the orginal reversing sensors and the ability to monitor and reset the wheel pressure sensors.

In the car information I only have the average fuel consumption and the number of kilometres driven.

I am not an android programmer. Could someone please advise me
what is the best thing to do?

I can not find any information about this MCU ZHAN anywhere on the internet.

Is it possible to change it to JOYING? Or is it sufficient to have an app that can access tyre pressure information via CAN.

CAN communication works because I can e.g. see information about open doors.

Hi, I saw Joying has released new firmware dated 2022-10-27 on their website.
I understand with newer kernel (6315_1.zip) dated after July 2022, you won't be able to downgrade back.
So the question is are the newer (post July 2022) kernels having any issues or limitations compared to the older kernels?

Is it possible to mix and match an older kernel (2022-06-27) with Joying latest APP (AllAppUpdate.bin) file dated 2022-11-08?
