Its been almost a month since Google started pushing out the market. Do you think they just forgot about the sensation? I think just about every other device got it by now.

I think maybe they are working on the program to make it smoother on the Sensation. I've read reports of it lagging and not handling downloads and updates correctly on the Sensation. Give it time. They may just want to get it working right before releasing it, much like CM7.

It looks different.
Latest version is 3.0.27

To check, if yours doesn't look like that, it's old
You can also go to menu/settings/applications/all, go down to Market and see what version it is.

There is an app called "Market Updater"

I have never noticed this running. It is not running when I enter the Market.

Could this be the reason the sensations are not getting the updater, the "market updater" app is not running?

I just went into the Market and had a few apps requiring updating. I kicked this off, then went to view running tasks and even then it wasn't running, so whatever this "market updater" task is it doesn't seem to be for updating of apps via the market.

Just checked, i am on 2.3.4

Tried to look on market for update, not availible. Checked in "manage application" market updater running

The update isn't in the Market itself, it'll be pushed automatically to your phone when HTC actually decide to release it. Otherwise just use the APK doing the rounds (although I use the old one as it's faster)

Thanks, the other thing I notice is that I seldomly get a notification that an app I already have installed has an update available.

It was released, it was pushed to my Captivate but it sucks and I don't want it, it's slow and laggy. Fortunately it hasn't been pushed to my Sensation.

I never got update saw everyone with finally downloaded few day ago.. Going to agree slower but eye candy is nice.. I also like pin lock for purchasing apps definitely keeping for that

the new market looks like a kid with downs syndrome designed it, and just as slow.

I've been using new market few weeks and on my defy its way better. Its less lagy, faster and nicer to use than old one.
