pls help

Hi folks
Here is how to root any 2011 Xperia running any of the 4.1.B.0.587 4.1.B.0.431 / 4.1.A.0.562 and 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware . No need to downgrade kernels or anything, just root it straight away :D

Rooting

Go to settings > Security > Mark "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
PC Companion installed on your PC.

1) Connect your phone to PC ( IMPORTANT > Skip PC Companion installation pop up on your phone.) and wait for the adb drivers to be installed. If these drivers don't get installed, phone would not be detected by Eroot.
Make sure nothing else ( specially flashtool ) is running on your PC in the background.

2) Download this rooting toolkit. Box /// Dropbox /// 4-Shared /// Box 2 and run it. If any downloading starts, cancel it by clicking the green button. Don't let the eroot download anything.
It should now detect your phone and show an option to "-root". Just click on it, wait till it finishes
3)Rooting done ( For confirmation see if any Super User app has been installed )
4) If by chance it fails for the first time, give it another go. it won't harm your phone in any way. If you still face problem, click on show content below

Go to your C:/ Drive / User/Username/AppData/Roaming/ folder and delete the eRoot folder.
If it says cannot be deleted then open up task manager on your PC and kill bec.exe . Then delete eroot folder.

Still not working ? used the archived method to root 2011 Xperia here below the animated Xperia picture.

5) While posting in the thread for help, remember to give details. Don't just write > "it's not working, help please ".

"Confirmed working on" List

This won't brick your phone or erase any of your files... At worst the method will fail and you won't have root in which case you will have to try other method to root...

Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini ST15i, Gingerbread 2.3.4, Build Number 4.0.2.A.0.84

What i should to do,sry for my bad English
first of all, did you try doing it again.

also,

Have you
1. ticked usb debugging in developer options
2. ticked unknown sources in security
3. chose msc mode (not mtp) in xperia>connectivity
4. installed PC companion in your computer
5. stopped eroot from downloading anything when it wanted to
6. see post 139 also in this thread by rivalus it might work too

maybe somewhere there you have missed something. also, OP suggested that you can keep trying because it wouldn't hurt your phone if it failed*

btw this worked for me on neo V gingerbread .62 , neo V ics .587 , and neo L ics .631, even an o+ 8.31z . note neo L is not in the list yet, but it worked. it might for you if you keep trying*

Sony Ericsson WT19i

I have followed the first four steps for rooting this phone for my sister.
I have no idea if this condition was kept: "IMPORTANT > Skip PC Companion installation pop up on your phone." because my sister connected the phone to her laptop before I could see what was happening. Also, I have no idea if the adb drivers were installed and I do not know how to install them. I tried using the Eroot app and it detected my phone model and after clicking the button to root, passed the first 3 steps with a check very quickly, but after a minute or so I didn't see the 4th (last) step checked, but got to a form to insert the model of my phone, QQ or phone number and a comment.

I've tried rooting a few times and turned off the phone and back again and still can't root.

What should I do now? Could you please help?

Hi.
I don't know if anyone comes with this, but ERoot doesn't work if it is not enough free space on phone. When I uninstalled some apps and got about 45MB of free space, I finally got the root  My phone is sk17i (4.0.2.A.0.62).
When it is not enough space, ERoot couldn't perform its last step (tick).
This tip paid off, but now I've got another issue: Even though I've tried moving every app from the internal memory to the SD Card using Link2SD, there are some apps such as Gmail, Youtube, Maps and Facebook that don't allow for moving to the SD Card and I'm still experiencing low memory space that prevents me both from installing new apps and updating existing ones.

Do you have any suggestion for how to solve this problem?

:(

Wait so are u rooted already? Also since you are using Link2SD, that means you have partitioned your sd card and given root permission to Link2SD? @indevswetrust

I solved my problem!

Yes, I was rooted already. The two things I had not understood before, but that were the key to this solution were that I needed to format the partition to FAT32 instead of ext4 as I had done and that I needed to go to Link2SD and click "Create Link" on the apps to move them.

Thank you for your time, @btiu !
