Warning, only press the green button once in eRoot. When it's done it will display another green button with some Chinese characters before "ROOT" which I think means deroot. I simply clicked it again and found my phone without root rights again.

Worked on SK17A -- Only After Stopping MS Security Essentials

I downloaded the ERoot file and followed the instructions with my Sony Xperia MiniPro SK17A. On two different Windows 7 32-bit machines, the ERoot program would not launch or run.

But, after seeing one of the comments here, I used Windows Task Manager to kill/halt the MS Security Essentials program on my PC, and once I did that, the ERoot program ran fine and successfully rooted my MiniPro. Was able to install and run Titatanium Backup thereafter.

Thanks very much for the helpful process.
:good:

doesn't work!

this doesn't work on my xperia ray st18a!

I did all this:
1. ticked usb debugging in developer options
2. ticked unknown sources in security
3. chose msc mode (not mtp) in xperia>connectivity
4. installed PC companion in your computer
5. stopped eroot from downloading anything when it wanted to
made sure sd card is loading in comp

it shows an error screen with 3 small text text area like some other members here noted.
Tried this a dozen times, after restarting the phone etc, no luck.
checked with various apps it has no root access

also previously unlocked the bootloader.

edit: do I need to also flush rom or something like that with other apps for this to work?

I've been at it for a few days and its driving me crazy, help please!

Try deleting some apps, like someone here has said before. Free up some more space on your phone so that eroot can root and install a superuser app. try around about 50-80MB free~

Eroot 1.3.4 not working on stock xperia active (ST17i) 4.0.2.A.0.62
Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028D-64
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-perf [email protected] #1

zergRoot fails with:

Code:
[*] Sending 189 zerglings ...
[-] Hellions with BLUE flames !
Which AFAICT means the vuln is patched.

None of the other eRoot methods worked either.

Unfortunately not working on a Sony ST17i ver. 4.1.B.0.587 just doesnt work, I have tried the english version too but nothing but send phone type etc. at the end.

I assume the phone needs to be on and just plug it into the pc, as the software then detects it but rooting fails on the last check box. Ive tried with the phone off, and booting with the volume button pressed, but although the pc detects the phone the software doesnt? so the only way eroot is picking up the phone is when on, got sony companion installed and all adb drivers, but nothing.

Any other rooting ways out there. as the xda [TUTORIAL] Rooting Xperia 2011 devices with ICS(4.1.B.0.587 doesnt work either as I need the ftf file to downgrade firmware as arc and generic ftf files provided cause error in flashing.

Any help appreciated.

Instructions should be pretty much the same I guess. Why don't you give it a lil try :)
This method doesnt work anymore, any help for other root apps!
Try shuame root genius, or as mentioned, towelroot. I dont know if framaroot works for xperias.

I can´t get my phone rooted, i get the image in attachement.
Can anyone help me?

Regards
Maybe you don't have enough free space on your device. Try uninstalling some apps to give more space for the superuser apk :)
