I have the exact same problem
m8, after like 1 million tries, i changed the usb port and it worked :D give it a try!

what i did:

1.) Make sure driver signature enforcement is disabled.
2.) Try these drivers, one of them might work too :-
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347799753
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982086990168
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24349802275800175
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24349802275800173
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24349802275800171
3.)
Download this :- http://www.mediafire.com/download/4a...6wc67/Qualcomm 1.00.11.rar
Keep phone disconnected from PC.
Open the folder "qc" and install the Test Certificate in the following Stores: Trusted Root, Trusted Publisher, Third-Party Root and Personal
Run the Qualcomm setup wizard (also located in the qc folder)
When completed, restart your PC again with Driver Signature Disabled. (Optional but preferred)
The driver should now automatically install. If not, go to device manager and right click "Unknown Device" and click "Update Driver" Search up the QC folder and press ok. The driver should now install.

When all of this is done, press the power button for 40 seconds and then, plug your phone while you press volume up. On control panel/devices and printers you will see your phone as Qualcomm 9008 or something like that.

Unbricktool(OP3T): https://mega.nz/#!Q1YnTTAT!gnLf6NEkS...1-vReKx7B1VVpI

run this tool and it will go right to the end, if not, try changing the usb port.

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with errno: 258 as well. I'm having trouble accessing the mega and mediafire link from this thread, it's saying they were removed.
Could someone help me out with this please? Thanks in advance! :)

Edit: Nevermind, I was able to find the links from the original post on the OnePlus forums. I'm still getting the errno: 258 though and it says failed downloading cache.img

I also had a rep remote access my computer and try to fix it and he was getting the same error, but it got further than my attempts and failed downloading at userdata.img, but still with errno: 258.

He also let me know it's $209 for a new mainboard lol :(

I'm going to keep trying and if I manage to fix it, I'll update this post

Nope, phone is still bricked.

It's been a while now (1 week) and I've tried just about every method. I'm thinking it could be hardware, but I'm still trying and beginning to mix and match methods now to see if that'll work.
send me a PM and i will try to help you out! My Phone was bricked for a complete weekend too and i managed to revive it :p

SOLVED Phew!! I finally managed to unbrick my new Oneplus3T. I got the same errno:258 and then started to md5 checksum error.

What worked for me was switching over from a 5 year old laptop to one of the latest high-end laptop with USB 3.0. In first try itself it worked and the phone was back to life (compared to several 10s of time on my old laptop).

So, if you are getting this error and/or md5 checksum error, just change the laptop/desktop to one of the latest ones and it will work..

Hope this help some of the folks out there :)

Hi, I've a 3T model (A3003) bricked, when try debrick the MSMDownloadTool says CheckHwId Failed! Phone: MSM8996, Image: MSM8996Pro. I think had try wrongly with the package for regular 3 and now tool think is that one. Is possible to edit the app launche to avoid the check or flash manually image by image without MSMDownloadTool in easy way?

[Oneplu 3t] md5 checksum failed:system and recovery failed

My Oneplus 3T(with android 8.0.0) suddenly turn off and it wouldn't boot or other option, i didn't ever rooted, it was new and updated. I tried to go to recovery, tried a hard boot hold the power button for 30s, connected to pc, and giving a charge... it just stayed dead... so i did a find the OnePlus3 Unbrick Tool, did find the phone on the tool and i run... after that it boot in a cycle where appear the 1+ logo and them the md5 checksum with the system and recovery failed

it does that loop, and now i can enter fastboot but can do nothing than going to that cycle and power off

phone apear in the device manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008(COM3)"

and using the tool again, goes to a error saying "Sahara Communication Failed£ Please try again after power off phone" and already tried what it said..

please help me, what can i do to boot my device?

PS: I dont know how to put images on the thread...

2019 is there something that works

I had to try multiple times too before all went well to be honest. Try rebooting the PC and give it a few more shots, you got nothing to loose anyway.
see i may be getting something wrong but my **** keeps doing what that dudes does when i hit start is fails in like 30 seconds
