Just use ADB to flash the recovery. Its how I installed and updated twrp on my turbo
Define unlocked. Is your bootloader unlocked, do you have TWRP custom recovery installed?Does the instructions in the beginning of this thread pertain to my stock, unlocked turbo currently on SU3TL-39?
Then, this is the definitive guide you want here:Ah crap, I meant to say it is locked. Factory stock Verizon.
Once you follow that guide you'll be newer firmware (MCG24.251-5 or MCG24.251-5-5) with stock Marshmallow 6.0.1.Ok, so once I unlock it and gain root I can then load the SU4TL-44?
So you want to stay on Lollipop. OK.What happened is I had a turbo with SU4TL-49 on it, unlocked and rooted and I really liked it, but I basically destroyed it and so I bought this replacement phone and was hoping to get back to the SU4TL-49.
Afraid to try the next ota thinking it might take me past this.
You getting this snow?
So you want to stay on lollipop. Your answer was yes.I just want to get to SU4TL-44 or 49.
I already have the necessary files to unlock and root from my old turbo by using this https://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/psa-droid-turbo-android-6-0-update-t3379894
