someone tried to watch a movie? after this update, i can't see movies, the movie freezes in less than 1 min.

Saw this update on the website last night as I went to download the unlocker app.
Stock, locked, and not rooted yet. Waiting to learn more about NVFlash before I do all that craziness this time around.

what do you mean you can't see movies? what app are you using to watch movies? some people buy from google play and watch using the play movies app, some use netflix, hulu,...

I have a noob question about kernel.
So I tried rooting my TF300T a few weeks ago by installing the Asus app from the Play Store. It worked, but I haven't done anything more than this.
I downloaded the firmware from Asus website, put it on my SD card and then after a minute the table told me there was an update. I did it, it installed, it worked. (Have to do it that way since it won't update OTA anymore)
Should the kernel be automaticly installed too?
When I go in the "About" menu, the kernel version says :
3.1.10-00003-gb0003ba

Pretty much the same before the update.

That's the new kernel, it was installed automatically.
No problems with movies here (tried 720p mkv, avi and one recorded with the tablet - played them with stock player and MX player).

i used bspplayer free and mx player and the video freezes about 1 min after. If i advance the movie it closes, the movie are in the microsd. Before the update i played movies without problems.

I shutdown the tablet and then the movies palyed more time, then i shutdown again and now i can watch full movie..

Here's a DL link for the full update for those of us still on stock rom/recovery. It pulls from the Asus site and I just installed it with no problem. Just extract and place on the root of the external SD card and it should be detected automatically.

i also had no trouble restoring root with the Voodoo OTA program after this OTA update

Yes, since it was already bought and installed it can be played, but I won't be able to benefit from future updates, since it's now listed as incompatible. And this happened after the last OTA update. It seems to be the only app with this issue.

im at work right now so cant test can only read but im seeing that "cold boot" apparently works on some phones/tablets who get this behavior after an update.

Hello I did the upgrade too in this version, but I must say that it is full of delays from the keyboard sucks, light sensitivity very slow internet browsing with chrome sucks. I put the keyboard as SwiftKey while dolphin browser is a little better ... I hope update to 4.2 will come soon ...

after rooted i backed up root using this method: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--QMVhBUWe8
the last video shows you how to backup root, update to Jelly Bean, then how to restore root
when i lost root again after the newest OTA update, i just repeated the "how to restore root" process that is in the 2nd video
if you got the lasted update by any method other than OTA, it erases the root that you backed up
that's what i have read, anyway

ya ive always been careful with the voodoo ota backups and such and keeping everything up to date before i run updates.

Hello I have to change my opinion on the last update, I did a factory reset and performance have changed now there are more lag and the system is more fluid, also the battery lasts longer, so after receiving the update via ota make a backup and a factory reset.
