Bought a white TF300T for my wife yesterday. It updated immediately on first powerup to the latest V10.4.2.13 OTA.
Absolutely NO problems so far. Everything just works – and it is very fast :)

Now I just need some JB for my own TF700 :crying:

Hi guys,
Any thoughts?
You need to find out which apps you removed and restore by pushing them into root/system/app and rebooting. Also you have to make sure that the apps you are restoring are the ones that come with your current firmware build. Ask around for the apps you are missing, someone might have them available. For future reference don't delete system apps just disable or freeze the ones you don't need.

Thanks!

How do I do that? How do I find what are the missing apps?

Compare your list of system apps with other ppl, go into the folder I told you before and make a list of the apps you have in there post that list and compare with other users.

I´m in the same boat with the missing apps. I made a Backup with TitaniumBackup and deleted some apps. Now Titanium isn´t able to restore all of these apps. Don´t know where the mistake is, but I need some of the system/app files.
I have got all ICS-Files, but they don´t work for this update. :crying:
So if anybody would be so kind to upload his system apps it would be really nice.

Apps I had deleted:

@Vibe
Amazon Kindle
Asus-Email
Asus-Facebook
Asus My Zine
com.asus.pcsynclauncher
com.nvidia.cap
googlemail
google+
Nvidia Glowball
Press Reader
Splashtop-Remote
Talk
Talkback
TegraZone
Webstorage
Zinio
Picasauploader

And I swear I will do a proper Backup after the Update ;)

Kind Regards

I don't have a list. I only know, which Apps I deleted with TitaniumBackup... So it would be great if anybody who is still on .9 could upload all his system/apps.

Unfortunately, on my tablet the clock issue occured, strangely enough, after a factory reset (after having installed the OTA patch). It happens randomly. In addition, the "solid green/messed-up-exposure"-camera issue re-occured after this very same factory reset. I had the same camera issue immediately after the upgrade from ICS 4.0.4 to JB 4.1.1 too - a factory reset, however, resolved the issue at that time.

I have reported these issues to Asus Nordics, and they have granted RMA/warranty repair. I will report back when they return it whether they find this a hardware or firmware issue. I myself have no clue - they reported, though, at the Asus support center, that they have not had any similar "bug" reports.
Checked RMA/repair status with Asus today, and they have finished repairing my tab. Accordig to feedback they have replaced the rear camera. So it turned out to be hardware related. No reports whether they made any other modifications (FW or hardware). Might the camera issue have affected the general performance of the pad? Not that I have experienced anything but the above mentioned clock issue. Anybody having thoughts?

Can't wait to get the pad back and start playing with it again :D

With this method I would loose the root access. Up to now there is no way to gain it back if you are on JB and do not want to unlock your TF300.
So I will have to wait until somebody posts his System Apps or there is a new way to get the tablet rooted without unlocking it.

Anyways thank you for this Idea.

Well, after waiting a few weeks to see if the ota would come back (which it didn't) I finally downloaded the update from the asus site, put it on an sd card and let it run.
Made sure voodoo had a backup of my root, tab updated fine, rebooted, root gone, voodoo doesn't have a backup ...
Real effing great.

But aah well, I kinda knew it would happen, I was just gettting so sick of all the JB bugs.

you could have just used a dl file and updated rather than screwing yourself by running the asus full update from their site.

Yeah, tried that first, but failed as well (most likely my own ****up, I admit) and I just couldn't bear with the jb bugs anymore, besides, root for me was fun but with the apps I'm running not a 100% necessary.
Also, it pissed me off just the right amount to finally get working on rooting/flashing a new rom to my desire Z, been waiting with it for so long since it was a hella lot more work than rooting the tf300.
So with the knowledge I got from playing with my tab, I felt confident enough to start on my desire z, took me a couple hours (mostly just re reading stuff to make sure I did it right but I even started to understand what I was doing :) It's running cyanogen7 now, absolutely WAY better than stock htc garbage.

Who knows, when I got some spare time again I might start looking into the whole tablet issue again.
