What does ghosting mean?
Light bleeding ?

Yes there is ghosting.

I can't send it back. I bought it on a vacation in Austria (I'm from Israel)

This sucks a bit.

The display on mine seems pretty good, colors are vibrant and natural exactly like i want it, and its brightness is so high i can see clearly in direct sunlight, although mine is 604. I am so so so happy with the display

Nope.. it's soft screen burn in. When a bright object is at the same place on your screen for few minutes, and then you switch to a darker background, you can still see the "ghost" of the previous bright object for the next 10-30 minutes or so. It goes away though. Mostly noticeable in the status bar (white static notification icons).

I did find out that if you use the application "bluelight filter" on 10% , it seems to almost solve the issue completely. This app is meant to reduce eye strain. I'm using it for the past day so far.

I think this whole thing is a hoax. When looking at the beginning of the video there is close to no difference in contrast and brightness when the brightness setting is shown. Then both phones are taken away from the camera and suddenly one performs way better than the other. Also the light source is definitely pointed to the top phone leading to a worsened contrast.

Unless there is no solid proof to this I simply won't believe it :D

Plus, is LG even still producing these mid way through their life cycle? 609 - 610 serial suggest September and October production units.

Screen burn in on IPS LCD? Mm I don't think so. Must be a software thing.

Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
Nope, not a software thing. I did find a solution though. It appears the blue light of the screen is responsible for it. Just download BlueLight Filter app and set it to 10%. Few days now and so far the burn ins are gone.

Edit: yes, image retention / soft burn in.

I had image burn in + GPS issues. Sent it back to the UK. Wondering if they'll replace it entirely.
Mine got replaced for a new one the second time it went for the GPS issue; and had developed image retention after the first GPS repair.
The new one is perfect in both issues

Install the app called Gps Test and watch if the accuracy is <+-10 meters, if it is more than 15 meters and the signals are low you have gps issue. Test in the street.

I wouldn't base it simply on accuracy. I'd base it on number of detected and locked satellites. I personally was only able to lock to 3-4 Inside and 9-10 outside with the G5 and got frequent position drops. With a Moto X play, I would get 15 sats locked INSIDE at decent signal. I have a video I can post which shows the difference if anyone's interested.

I can confirm this! I got a 603 G5 and my sister just got a 610 G5! Her screen is slightly brighter and it has a slightly warmer colors (compared both screens on a white image, mine looked more blueish). Well, sucks for me I guess! But I don't care more than that, won't get mine replaced or anything. And yes mine has ghosting too, but not big deal to me.

Disagree!
My H850 was built in April and has a warm white tone. My father's H850 was built in June and has a blueish brighter white! All colour settings are the same, though.

Mine is 604 but it has a stunning display -- INSANLY deep black, natural vibrant colors, The white is fantastic, its reallll white, the brightness is more than adequate, easily seen outside thanks to outdoor mode.
