That update is just a bugfix, no baseband or security patches update...

I want to install it even if it just bug fixes, but flashing the stock boot.img and recovery.img does not work . I hope someone can make a flashable with twrp. Thanks for sharing.

I installed it the hard way, means what I would do if my P2 was hard bricked (I don't know any other method). Backed-up internal memory first. I already had the fastboot s251 files. Swiped the rom and cache in twrp. Connected P2 to PC. Got into fastboot, installed the S251 chunk's, boot.img, recovery.img,userdata.img. Got in stock S251. Checked update, nothing found. So, I renamed the S252 update (link found above) to update.zip and put in external SD card. Went to stock recovery and selected update from SD card.

Note: One thing I found in S252. RAW is kind of supported initially (eg:- Manual camera and Snapcamera RAW mode available by default) which was not the case before. But, enabling HAL3 in build.prop breaks the RAW support (pink screen) and surprisingly gcam ports don't work even after HAL3 enabled. We can fix this by using highwaystar's libmmcamera_imx258.so, but after 20 minutes video playback issue creeps in.

I tried to flash this ota after uninstalling magisk via twrp but it didn't work and i am getting Error 7.

this is so strange guys. I have applied the ota update offline to the system image. no issue there but patching the boot.img from untouched S251 to S252 is a no go. the checksums are all wrong.

the ota contains files to patch the modem image (NON-HLOS) and the emmc_appsboot (fastboot, bootloader,etc).

can anyone who successfully patched the stock confirm the baseband version is unchanged? and run "getvar" in the bootloader?

I use also this launcher .
and have change this numbers in system /etc/ media profiles
And use this camera .
I got best experience from my stock rom, camera HDR , no laggs, sound quality best and looks like flagship.

I'm simply trying to narrow down if there were any changes made to the stock ROM other than user space changes which are useless for Official LineageOS.

For now all the changes found are user space changes and hence useless for custom ROMs.

You could however make a screenshot of your baseband version. I haven't had time yet to grep all the strings to compare the modem image.

besides the user space changes which are irrelevant for us and there is absolutely zero difference except for signing date.

for those curious. the boot.img has zero changes. honesty the difference in sha1sum comes from literally adding zeros to the end of the file from the s251 boot.img.

so there are absolutely no changes to the stock kernel.

so much for lenovo giving us "updates" even the security patch level is the one from last year.
