Just picked up a HD+ at Target yesterday for the family for 149 and took advantage of the 5% discount with the Red card. I like the idea of the child profiles. It keeps the kids out of trouble. What I don't like is that my wife and I share the same passcode. It would be a perfect tablet for us if we had different passcodes.

I bought one HD+ for the Mother's Day event, when B&N offered for $179.99. Then on Father's Day they kept dropping it to $149.99 and I ended up buying another one. My wife complained me for buying the same thing twice. Maybe I'm an idiot, but I'm happy with it. What do you guys think? :p

I think you should go back to the store and (politely) request a price adjustment.

And/Or if you paid with a credit card, check with their benefits department to see if they offer a price match guarantee.

Funny, I bought two as well. Picked one up on 6/10 at Bestbuy. I went back two days later and grabbed another one. Both are now on cm10.1.

For a tablet that costs $150+tax, I'm totally impressed with the HD resolution, snappiness and battery life. The only real drawback for me is the use of a proprietary charging cable/HDMI out, instead of using micro usb charging/ standard HDMI out. That being said, I'm very happy with the HD+.

I have now:
- one Nook HD+ running verygreen's CM10.1 native emmc + tablet UI
- one Nook HD+ running bokoban's CM10.1/SGT7 SD/Hybrid (using the pureSD method)

I would like to give a big hug and a great thank for verygreen, bokoban, leapinlar, and xboxexpert for their great efforts to make nook HD/HD+ a dream comes true. :highfive: :good: :D

Note: I'm still waiting for the Emmc Unofficial CarbonROM from killersloth to be stable and give it a shot. :p

Yep, I stopped into a local B&N and got me a cable and wall charger kit for $15 too. Handy to have. I wish the Excite had one this small. The cable alone for the Excite 7.7 literally has a bigger footprint than the device. I am unfortunately not exaggerating. It is fluken' mega chunga HUGE.

For what it is worth Tiger Direct has them for $8.96 ($13.00 shipped).
Sorry, still a "no links allowed" noob, just search Universal Power Kit.
